Monday doesn't offer the most exciting slate of college basketball games, but it's still college basketball, and that is exciting enough for me. What is good about these lower-market games, however, is the value offered. With Monday Night Football getting so much press, among other events, books don't give as much attention to college basketball games such as the ones playing today. So, that's why I'm here. To give you the best bets for today's slate.

South Carolina St. at Charlotte: Charlotte -20.0
Like I said, not the most exciting slate. The Bulldogs of South Carolina State are really an awful basketball team. In four games this season, they already hold a -101 point differential and rank as the 355th team on KenPom. That is the third-worst in all of D1 basketball. Charlotte is nothing spectacular, but they do have a competent team. The 49ers boast a top-100 three-point defense and are a big team that can get to the basket. South Carolina State, who already struggles on offense, will struggle further, and not have many avenues to the hoop versus Charlotte. By Tuesday, I am sure you will forget these teams even exist, but for Monday night, I'm riding with the 49ers to cover.
Loyola Marymount at UC Santa Barbara: UCSB -3.5
The Gauchos of UCSB are hot off a 21-10 season and return star players in Amadou Sow Jr. and JaQuori McLaughlin Sr. Santa Barbara is a deep and talented squad, especially on the offensive side, ranking in the top-third in the nation in nearly every statistical category last season. On the other side of the ball, the Lions of Loyola Marymount shot 29.7% from three a year ago, ranking 327th in the nation. Their defense wasn't great either, as Loyola Marymount allowed opponents to shoot 53.7% from inside-the-arc last year, ranking 323rd. The Gauchos are a sneaky team that I expect to come out of the Big West Conference and potentially make strides in the tournament. They should roll against the Lions.
