Saturday’s Best WNBA Player Props

(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)

Olivia Miles Under 15.5 Points (-114)

Olivia Miles has quickly catapulted herself to the top of the rookie rankings in the WNBA. After four consecutive games scoring 16+ points, including a 28-point explosion against the vaunted Golden State defense, her point line is set at just 15.5 for the Saturday matchup with the Seattle Storm.

Seattle has been one of the best defenses in the league this season. Their effective field-goal rate (eFG%) allowed sits at 46.3%, the second-lowest in the league. They're a defense that is more than equipped to slow down a scoring threat like Miles. After four consecutive games, she's established herself as a player that the Storm needs to gameplan against if they want to win.

Miles will be more than happy to share the ball if the Storm tries to shut down her scoring ability. She will take what the defense gives her and get her teammates involved if they don't let her get good looks. That's a big reason this under is a good play, and a big reason I'll be fading the rookie sensation in a big sell-low spot on Saturday against a stout defense.

Angel Reese Under 11.5 Rebounds (-120)

Angel Reese has started the season with a change of scenery after being traded from Chicago to Atlanta in the offseason. Despite the move, she still remains one of the best rebounders in the WNBA, especially on the offensive end. On Saturday, she and the Dream will take on the Mystics in Atlanta.

Reese’s rebounding line sits at 11.5. This is just slightly above the 11.1 rebounds per game she's averaging this season. Since this is a game against one of the league’s better rebounding teams, this number is a bit head-scratching.

Neither Washington nor Atlanta plays at a particularly fast pace, as both sit around league average or slightly below in possessions per game. Additionally, Washington is one of the best rebounding teams in the league.

Their offensive rebounding rate sits second in the league, just behind Atlanta. On the defensive side, their defensive rebounding rate ranks sixth. They're a team that is more than capable of getting a body on Reese, making things difficult for her under the basket.

Reese has been a phenomenal rebounder throughout her early career. This matchup with Washington, however, is one where she won't have the strong advantages she usually does. I like this game to have a slower pace and physical play down low, which will keep Reese from going over her rebounding total.
