There will be four contests across the WNBA this today. Despite the solid slate, we will be zeroing in on one game in particular. The Las Vegas Aces are traveling form Minnesota to take on the New York Liberty, in what will be the second leg of a back-to-back. The brutal travel schedule for the Aces may provide us with sone advantages, and we plan to fully exploit these opportunities. Without any further preamble, let's jump right in to our favorite SGP for Sunday, August 9.

Las Vegas Aces @ New York Liberty:
- Leg 1: Chelsea Gray Under 21 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-110)
- Leg 2: H2H Points: NaLyssa Smith & Jonquel Jones Under 30 Combined Points (-135)
- Leg 3: Sabrina Ionescu 20+ Points + Assists (-499)
- Leg 4: New York Liberty Moneyline (-380)
Chelsea Gray incurs the difficult task of being a veteran that is playing for the second time in as many days, and will be on the road after a physical battle against the Minnesota Lynx on Saturday. To be in a situation such as this is troublesome even for the most youthful of players. Unfortunately, Chelsea Gray is not that, which is why we plan on attacking the under for tis line of 21+ points, rebounds and assists. Gray is currently questionable for this contest. So make sure to check back on the Betting Pros App a little later before tip-off for all of your up to date injury status. Grey has played in two back-to-back contests this season, and we feel there's a good chance she takes the floor today.
Gray is averaging 10.5 points, 7.0 assists and 2.0 rebounds through the previous four games. The guard for the Aces is shooting a woeful 26.3% from beyond the arc over this span, while hoisting up 4.8 attempts. Gray puts up 9.9 shots per contest, with half being taken from outside the perimeter. The current shooting woes and the aggressive turnaround could spell disaster for Gray's 21+ points, rebounds, and assists threshold in this game.
NaLyssa Smith and Jonquel Jones have been assigned the arduous assignment of reaching an incredibly high combined points total. Smith is certainly not what you call a volume scorer, by any means. Having said that, the veteran forward is on an absolute tear right now. Smith is scoring 15.75 points through the last four games, over three points higher than the season average of 12.2. Oddsmakers have heavily weighted this surge into the combined line of 30+ points, and we feel Smith and Jones stay under that total.
Jonquel Jones is averaging 8.5 points in 30.5 minutes through two games played against the Aces this season. The veteran forward is shooting 17% from the field and 0-of-8 from beyond the arc when playing Las Vegas in 2026. If you take it back a little further, in the previous five games, Jones is scoring 11.5 points on 36.7% shooting from inside the perimeter, and 10% from beyond. This prop will more than likely go way under the radar, don't miss out!
We are moving on from the negativity, and getting into our first Over selection of the parlay. Sabrina Ionescu is on the opposite end of the spectrum of Jonquel Jones in regards to playing Las Vegas, and it's been a highly lucrative matchup from a points perspective, especially in the three games played this season. Ionescu is averaging 19 points, with 4.7 assists against the Aces over the 2026 campaign. The Oregon sharp-shooter has accumulated a combination of 20+ points and assists in all three meetings with Las Vegas.
Ionescu is currently in impressive form, and it wouldn't be a surprise to see the Aces somewhat lapsed on getting out to defend the three-pointer. The guard for New York would absolutely destroy Las Vegas from above the perimeter should that be the case. Ionescu has successfully recorded 20+ points, rebounds, and assists in seven consecutive contests.
The Las Vegas Aces are currently 9.5-point underdogs going into this contest on probably one of the most unfortunate scenarios a team can find themselves in. Not only is this a back-to-back that will be played less than 24 hours from when the Aces last took the court, they also have to travel from Minnesota to New York. This will be the third game in four days for Las Vegas. The Aces have dropped two out of their last four games.
Whereas, the Liberty have won seven of their last eight games, as well as three consecutive contests. New York finally seems to have found their footing, and continue to stack up wins after an uncharacteristic 2-8 run from the end of June into the middle of July. The Liberty picked up wins in three out of their previous four games played at home. It's hard to envision any team having the fortitude to overcome the situation that Las Vegas has been put in. You can take the points as is -9.5 or drop it down sone. We get a boost of 30% as a promotion, so that somewhat lowers the juice, and gives us an opportunity to take a more cautious approach.
If Chelsea Gray is unable to take the floor, you can easily pivot to the under on points, rebounds and assists for Jonquel Jones.
Parlay Odds: +300 – Draft Kings is offering 30% on a boost, which increases our odds to +390. Enjoy the games today. Good luck with your SGP!
