The WNBA regular season has three total games on Thursday, including a nationally-televised game on Amazon’s Prime Video. The Las Vegas Aces and Indiana Fever meet at 7:00 p.m. ET at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis in the first TV game, while the Los Angeles Sparks and Minnesota Lynx tangle at 9:00 p.m. ET in the second end. The expansion Toronto Tempo and Portland Fire also square off at 10:00 p.m. ET in the other game. We’ll provide a couple of WNBA same game parlays (SGPs) for you as we look to increase our bankroll.

Los Angeles Sparks (+900) at Minnesota Lynx (-1600) | O/U 187.5 (-110/-110)

The Sparks (11-18) and the Lynx (25-6) meet at Target Center in Minneapolis at 9:00 p.m. ET on Amazon’s Prime Video.
Los Angeles threw in the towel at the trade deadline, moving Kelsey Plum to the Phoenix Mercury. Meanwhile, the Lynx stood pat at the deadline, mostly hemmed in by Napheesa Collier’s supermax deal. They’re cooking along with Collier healthy again, as well as emerging superstar Olivia Miles, veteran Courtney Williams and so many others. The Lynx are a well-oiled machine lately.
The Sparks put up a fight in Chicago on Wednesday, falling 95-88 as 2.5-point underdogs while the Under (187.5) just came through. However, defense continues to be an issue, as L.A. has allowed at least 86 points in each of the past 11 games, and 82+ points in 15 straight outings.
The Lynx are atop the standings, and they’ve won 10 consecutive outings, although they’ve covered just two times in the past 12 games. The Over and Under have alternated in the past five games, with the Over cashing at a 10-2 clip across the aforementioned 12-game span.
Looking to the spread, Minnesota is just 1-8 against the spread (ATS) in the past nine games when favored by 9.5 or more points. As such, even though the Sparks are down Plum, and skidding hard, we’ll take the big points with the visitors. We’ll also take the Over, as Minnesota has been going high on a regular basis, while L.A. cannot stop anybody on defense.
For the player props, we’ll keep it simple. Kayla McBride is often overlooked with Collier, Miles, etc. garnering most of the attention. But, McBride is good for 17.8 points per game (PPG), amd she is good for at least three made 3-pointers in five of the past six games, with two or more triples in 14 consecutive outings. Let’s take McBride to hit at least three triples against the defenseless Sparks, and if you’re really adventurous, try playing 4+ 3-pointers at (+141) to give you a chance to go 6.5X.

In the battle of expansion teams, the Tempo (10-20) and Fire (11-19) meet at Moda Center in Portland at 10:00 p.m. ET.
The Tempo have dropped seven in a row, while going 1-6 ATS in the skid. Toronto is also 1-11 SU in the past 12 games, as it has started to hit a wall after a very promising start. The Over is 5-1 in the past six games for the Tempo, and 7-2 across the past nine, as Toronto’s defense cannot stop anyone lately, either. The Tempo have conceded at least 92 points in six in a row, at 89+ points in 15 of the past 17 games.
The Fire have dropped five in a row, as Portland has been in a slow burn lately, too. They’ve failed to cover the past three, while the Fire have hit the Over in five in a row, and seven of the past eight outings. They’ve giving up at least 98 points in five in a row, including triple-digit totals in four of those outings.
As such, the easiest play is to go high on the total in this expansion bowl. We’ll also keep betting against the Tempo, although the Fire don't give us a ton of confidence, either. That’s the lean, though.
For player props, Emily Engstler can do a little bit of everything. She is coming off a stinker, going for just seven points, three rebounds, and two assists while hitting just 3-of-11 from the field against the Sparks on Sunday. However, she had hit 50.0% or higher from the field in the three previous games. Look for Engstler to get to at least 10 points with a handful of rebounds and assists, easily eclipsing her Points/Rebounds/Assists combo target against the defensively-challenged Tempo.
