The final jewel of the triple crown, the Test of the Champion is typically the longest of the three races at a full 1.5 miles. However, the 2025 version of the Belmont Stakes will run at the historic Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., rather than Belmont Park, for the second year in a row, as renovations continue at the race's usual home. That means the distance is being shortened from 1.5 miles to 1.25 miles due to the difference in track circumference. Rodriguez Belmont Stakes Predictions

Rodriguez made the field to run in the Kentucky Derby but was an early scratch due to a foot issue. He did win his last time out, taking first at the 2025 Wood Memorial in April. His trainer, the legendary Bob Baffert is a 3x winner of the Belmont Stakes as is his jockey, Mike Smith. Some experts are concerned about his lengthy layoff, having not competed since April.
