2025 College Football Win Totals Predictions

We’re diving right back into the 2025 college football win totals prop in futures betting markets ahead of Week 3. The 12-team College Football Playoff era is only in its second season, so we’re still looking to pounce on mispriced lines as oddsmakers adjust to the new format.

2025 College Football Win Totals Predictions: Week 3

Missouri Regular Season Wins

One of the most impressive wins in Week 2 came from the Missouri Tigers. Down 21-6 to Kansas, the Tigers rallied at home, outscoring Kansas 36-10 in the final three quarters to gain momentum for the rest of their 2025 season.

QB Beau Pribula, a Penn State transfer, has been very effective in head coach Eli Drinkwitz’ offense. He’s got a 79 percent completion rate and no interceptions, with over 600 passing yards and five touchdowns.

Missouri plays in the SEC but their schedule is favorable. No. 11 South Carolina, No. 19 Alabama and No. 24 Auburn all feel like winnable games for the Tigers. Then, it’s Vanderbilt, No. 16 Texas A&M, concluding with Mississippi State, No. 13 Oklahoma and Arkansas.

Over 7.5 total wins is too low for Missouri. Right now, it doesn’t look like this team will take more than four losses in the regular season, so let’s bet this number at a good price.

Illinois Regular Season Wins 

Bret Bielema’s Fighting Illini played a clean game against Duke on the road in Week 2. Illinois forced several turnovers, while QB Luke Altmyer looked poised in the pocket.

Altmyer has a 75 percent completion rate with six touchdowns and no interceptions in 2025. In 2024, Illinois went 9-3 in the regular season, losing to Penn State, Oregon and Minnesota.

In 2025, the Fighting Illini are scheduled to play only two ranked opponents, No. 22 Indiana and No. 1 Ohio State. Illinois gets the Buckeyes at home in October, while the Hoosiers will be a road game in Week 4.

This defense is the real deal. Combine Altmyer’s confidence within the offensive scheme and a soft Big Ten conference schedule. Nine or more regular season wins should be within reach for the second straight year, so let’s bet on Illinois to go over 8.5 regular season wins.

Florida State Regular Season Wins

There are likely a lot of bettors targeting Florida State at a premium in the win total market. A huge Week 1 upset against Alabama put the Seminoles firmly into the spotlight, making them more expensive to bet in futures markets.

As a result, Florida State, led by QB Tommy Castellanos, now have their current win total set to 9.5. This means the Seminoles can only lose two regular season games.

Playing in the ACC gives this team a big advantage, despite top-15 matchups against Miami and Clemson later in the year. Given how well Castellanos and the rest of Florida State’s offense has played through the first two weeks, I’d be shocked if the Seminoles lose more than two games.
