Travis Bazzana 0.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs
Last Week: 0-1 | Season Record: 7-7 | Best Odds: -165 at Caesars Sportsbook
It’s hard for a player to go over their hits + runs + RBIs combo prop when the team as a whole only scores one run on five hits. Which is all the Pirates and Oneil Cruz (0-for-3 with a walk) were able to muster up last week.
The MLB prop bet cheat sheet for Friday lists just 22 player props with a 100% hit rate over the last five games - with two labeled as a 5-star bet.
One of the two 5-star bets is an under, leaving us to target the over on Travis Bazzana’s combined hits + runs + RBIs prop. The cheat sheet likes him to go over 0.5 combined hits + runs + RBIs - a feat he has accomplished in five straight games.
Outside of barely going over this number in his last game, with just a single run scored the last time out, Bazzana was absolutely scorching over the first four games of his current five-game over streak. In those four games, Bazzana recorded four, six, three and five combined hits + runs + RBIs.
The Guardians vaunted rookie totaled seven hits, three runs and eight RBIs in those four games. He had three multi-hit games with a couple of moonshots. All we need is just one hit, run or RBI on Friday to cash this 5-star prop bet. This season, Bazzana has a 63.3% hit rate to the over on this line (69/109)
One small hiccup is Bazzana’s history with Friday’s opposing starter, Taj Bradley. Bazzana is 0-for-6 with a strikeout against the Twins hurler. However, left-handed batters, like Bazzana, have more hits (73 vs. 60), runs (42 vs. 24) and RBIs (42 vs 22) against Bradley.
The MLB Prop Bet Cheat Sheet projects Bazzana for 1.6 combined hits + runs + RBIs with a +29% projection EV. Let’s hope Bazzana can get the best of Bradley tonight.
