Bowl season is officially underway, and no matter how unimportant some people might think some of these bowl games are, every game can be fun to watch with a little bit of action. I'll be popping in throughout the bowl season to give my best college football anytime touchdown scorers for each bowl game, where I'll aim to give a pick for each team.
As I'm sure you're all aware, rosters can be very fickle during bowl season due to opt-outs, but I'll do my best to share my favorite picks at the time of writing with all the information I have on hand. Roster uncertainty means odds are subject to change, so please shop around at your available sportsbooks for the best price.
As I said at the very beginning, a "little" bit of action can go a long way in these bowl games. Please don't go crazy betting on a player who could play for one drive and then sit the rest of the game. A lot of the odds on these players tend to be heavily suppressed due to the variance and unpredictability that bowl season brings, making it hard to extrapolate real value. With that said, let's dissect the StaffDNA Cure Bowl and the 68 Ventures Bowl.

StaffDNA Cure Bowl Touchdown Props: Old Dominion vs. South Florida
Tre' Brown III (WR – Old Dominion) | +235
Old Dominion starting quarterback Colton Joseph is set to sit this one out, giving way to redshirt freshman Quinn Henicle. A big caveat to this play is that Henicle seems to be a much more proficient runner than he is a passer. He has logged more rushing attempts than pass attempts in his career, including an electric start against Arkansas State in 2024, where he carried the rock 19 times for 206 yards and two touchdowns.
The sportsbooks have sniffed that out, though, as the odds for Henicle and Old Dominion's top two running backs are suppressed to a range that doesn't entice me. Enter Tre' Brown III, who led the Monarchs’ trio of top receivers with 751 receiving yards at a dynamic 20.3 yards per catch (YPC), including a long reception of 98 yards.
Brown logged a reception of 40+ yards in seven out of 12 Monarchs games this year. That could spell trouble for a South Florida defense that ranked third-worst in the American Conference at defending the pass this season. Brown's odds are the juiciest of the Monarchs’ wide receiver trio, and have a little extra boost because of Henicle's profile as a quarterback.
Brown might not get a ton of targets this game, but he only needs one touch to score, especially against a Bulls defense that might not care to show up for this game.
Keshaun Singleton (WR – South Florida) | +110
Dynamic quarterback Byrum Brown has also opted out of this game, meaning Gaston Moore will start at quarterback for the Bulls. There's not much of a sample size to lean on when it comes to Moore - a career backup who has mostly just gotten his feet wet with mop-up duty. Luckily for Moore, top receiver Keshaun Singleton will likely suit up for this game.
Singleton led the Bulls in receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns, and had an electric 17.5 YPC, which has a lot to do with fellow wide receivers Chas Nimrod and Christian Neptune missing games down the stretch due to injury. A backup quarterback’s best friend is his top wide receiver, and I expect Singleton to get a lion's share of the targets, as I do not expect Nimrod or Neptune to play. Anything with plus-money odds for Singleton to score is a good bet.
68 Ventures Bowl Touchdown Props: Louisiana vs. Delaware
Lunch Winfield (QB – Louisiana) + Nick Minicucci (QB – Delaware) Parlay | +172
I'm taking a different approach in this game, which has 10 players currently sitting with anytime touchdown odds worse than +130, by parlaying both teams' quarterbacks to find paydirt. Let's start with Lunch Winfield and the Louisiana offense, which ranks in the top 25 in offensive run rate, carrying the ball on the ground just shy of 60% of the time.
I see Louisiana’s offensive attack mirroring that of Delaware conference foe, Jacksonville State, which gashed the Blue Hens on the ground for 255 yards and three touchdowns earlier this season. Louisiana should have absolutely no problem running the rock against Delaware, which conceded the second-most points in Conference USA this season, as they feature a trio of ball-carriers with 120+ carries, 600+ yards and six or more rushing touchdowns.
Winfield recorded the second-most carries on this Cajuns offense, and actually led the trio with nine rushing touchdowns. Give me Winfield to cap off a really nice season as my parlay piece on the Louisiana side.
Gambling is supposed to be fun, and what's more fun than betting on one of the more underrated stories in college football? Delaware put together a really impressive campaign in their debut FBS season, going 6-6 to qualify for bowl eligibility behind dynamic quarterback Nick Minicucci. Minicucci is a more prolific thrower of the football than Winfield, tossing for nearly 3,500 yards. However, he proved he can get it done on the ground as well, leading the Blue Hens by a landslide with 10 rushing touchdowns and falling just two carries shy of leading the squad in rushing attempts.
As good as the Ragin' Cajuns are at running the football, they're almost equally as bad defending the run, ranking fourth-worst in a pretty disappointing Sun Belt Conference in terms of rushing yards allowed per game and allowing 30 points per game. This game is projected to be the highest bowl game played so far, with a total of 61.5 points. I expect both sides to put up their fair share of points. Both quarterbacks lead their teams in rushing touchdowns and have combined for 19 on the season, so let's put them together for a fun parlay to get some playable odds on Wednesday night.
