Last weekend’s college football slate was full of surprises - like Vanderbilt scoring five touchdowns on Alabama, Tennessee only scoring two versus Arkansas and Texas A&M scoring five on Missouri. Weekends like that tell us we should not overlook any team’s first and anytime touchdown scorer odds.
You just don’t know who is going to score.
That doesn’t mean you should randomly bet on someone’s first or anytime touchdown scorer odds. But it does mean there is money to be won. After doing a deep dive into Saturday’s games, we’ve identified a few intriguing bets.

Week 7 Best College Football First & Anytime Touchdown Scorer Picks

Here are some of my top anytime touchdown scorer picks (first touchdown odds in parenthesis) for Week 7 of the college football season.
Ashton Jeanty (RB -Boise State): 3+ TDs (+105) (+150)
I know what you’re thinking: three touchdowns is a lot to ask for, and +105 does not seem worth it. But Jeanty already has 16 touchdowns this season in more than three of the four games he’s scored in. Hawaii has only given up 11 in five games, but they haven’t played anyone noteworthy. There is no reason to think the Rainbow Warriors will slow him down.
Sedrick Alexander (RB - Vanderbilt): +190 via DraftKings
Alexander has five this season for the Commodores, with at least one in four of five games; he had two this past week in the win over Alabama. On paper, Kentucky has a strong run defense, but they haven’t faced a good running back this season. After taking down Alabama, the Commodores will be on everyone’s radar.
I don’t think Kentucky will knock the Commodores off their pedestal this week. Texas will get that pleasure in a couple of weeks. So, for now, enjoy the ride and bet on Alexander to score.
Dylan Sampson (RB -Tennessee): 2+ TDs (+100) (+250)
First Team TD Scorer (+150)
Sampson has been a scoring machine this year for the Vols, with 12 total touchdowns in five games. He’s had more than two in four of them, scored the first touchdown in four and scored the first for Tennessee in four. Florida will make him work for it, but the Gators will not stop him, and it’s unlikely they look to someone else to make plays.
Jayden Higgins (WR - Iowa State): +100 via DraftKings
Higgins has been the favorite target of Iowa State quarterback Rocco Becht this season, with 33 receptions. He’s had at least four in every game this season (eight in three). Of the nine touchdowns Becht has thrown, five have gone to Higgins (one in each game).
The West Virginia defense is No. 84 in scoring, No. 99 in passing yards allowed, and No.124 in pass defense efficiency. Yeah, I like Higgins to keep his touchdown streak going.
Isaiah Bond (WR - Texas): +140 (+800)
Bond has scored in two of Texas’ five games this season (three total; he had the first touchdown once). Quinn Ewers will be back at quarterback, playing in what will likely be his final Red River Rivalry game. That motivation and Oklahoma’s lackluster defense will see Ewers find Bond in the endzone at least once.
Trebor Pena (WR - Syracuse): +120 via DraftKings
Pena is the leading receiver for a pass-happy Syracuse team, with 34 catches for 383 yards and five touchdowns. He’s scored in three of five games but in only one of the past three. Against an NC State team that ranks No. 120 in points allowed, we like his chances of getting back into the endzone.
