Week 2 of the young season is sure to be action-packed with a couple of big-time games. With plenty of matchups on the board, I’m breaking down some of my favorite college football player props. Let's dive into three of my favorites for Saturday.

Saturday’s Best College Football Player Props (Week 2)

Drew Mestemaker Over 213.5 Passing Yards (-114 at FanDuel Sportsbook)
I’m expecting a similar game script from the Cowboys’ Week 1 loss to Tulsa, against Oregon, being a 17.5-point home underdog. Drew Mestemaker finished with 241 yards on 49 attempts. Maddux Madsen had 181 yards on only 29 attempts last week versus Oregon.
I’m expecting a much higher volume from Mestemaker, something in the 40+ attempts range. In games with 40+ attempts last season at North Texas, he had a median of 326 yards, with a low of 250 yards.
Justice Haynes Over 64.5 Rushing Yards (-130 at Hard Rock Bet)
I loved Justice Haynes last week and love him just as much this week. Landing on the hook at 64 with 19 carries (65% rush share) showed that Georgia Tech views him as their bell-cow back.
Haynes now faces a Tennessee defense that allowed 178 rushing yards and 4.9 per carry to Furman. Haynes’ workload seems to be a safe floor against a defense that was gashed with big plays in the run game.
Jeremiah Smith Over 5.5 Receptions (-146 at FanDuel Sportsbook)
Sometimes the juice is worth the squeeze. Jeremiah Smith is on a warpath in his last season in Columbus and aiming for the Heisman Trophy. He had eight receptions on nine targets in Week 1 against Ball State.
In last season’s matchup versus Texas, Smith had six catches on 10 targets. Texas played to keep him in front of their defensive backs, limiting him to 43 yards and keeping him out of the end zone. I’m banking on Texas playing the same or similar defense against him. BettingPros projects him for 6.2 receptions.
