Tennessee vs. North Carolina State

NCAAF TEN Favorites – Spread

  • +2.33 units over last year

The Tennessee Volunteers have gone 7-4 against the spread in their last 11 games dating back to last season. The Vols have helped bettors earn a 21.2% ROI and have added 2.33 units of profit with those 11 wagers.

This weekend, the Vols will play the North Carolina State Wolfpack in an epic ranked matchup at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina.

In Week 1, Tennessee knocked off Chattanooga, 69-3, after redshirt freshman Nico Iamaleava went 22-for-28 with 314 yards passing and three touchdowns. Tennessee gained over 700 yards of offense and held Chattanooga to only 227 yards. The Mocs only went 1-for-14 on third down and gained just 2.1 yards per rush.

Meanwhile, North Carolina State needed to rally in the fourth quarter to escape Western Carolina. Transfer quarterback Grayson McCall’s first game with North Carolina started slow, but he finished with three touchdowns, all of which went to Kevin Concepcion. But what happens when Tennessee locks down Concepcion?

North Carolina State’s offense might struggle to add points against Tennessee.

Let’s back the Vols at -7.5.

Pick: Tennessee -7.5 (-114)

Iowa State vs. Iowa

NCAAF – IOWA TOTAL UNDER

  • +7 units over last year

The Iowa-Iowa State rivalry is set for 3:30 pm ET this week. Lately, these games have had low scores. Last year’s game finished with 33 points and the previous game yielded just 17 points.

Meanwhile, you can still get the Under 35 at -110 odds for this matchup.

In the last 16 Iowa games, the Under has hit in 13 games. The ROI has reached 56.3%, and bettors profited nine units off 16 units wagered during that time.

While Iowa scored 40 points last week, it’s hard to imagine that the offense, even with Cade McNamara as quarterback, will be successful against other Power-4 teams this season. After all, Iowa State only allowed three points to North Dakota in a 21-3 victory.

The Cyclones didn’t prove much offensively but did their thing defensively.

Therefore, consider the Under 35 points for this game.

Pick: Under 35 (-110)

Kansas vs. Illinois

NCAAF ILL Underdogs – Moneyline

  • +3.25 units over last year

Since we hit a longshot moneyline bet last week, we’ll try to hit another underdog on the moneyline this weekend. While Kansas-Illinois hasn’t been talked about as much as other games, it’ll be a big-time matchup.

Illinois is home against 19-ranked Kansas.

Per the system, Illinois has an 81.3% ROI over the last four games as underdogs. They’ve only gone 2-2 in that stretch but have hit big on some major upsets.

That said, Illinois is the home team this weekend. After a 45-0 win over Eastern Illinois, the Fighting Illini certainly have some momentum heading into Saturday’s game.

Pick: Illinois (+185)
