(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Noah Cameron Over 17.5 Outs Recorded (-125)
To say the Angels have struggled at the plate would be putting it lightly. Los Angeles has scored the fewest runs (77), hit the fewest home runs (15) and registered the lowest OPS (.615) in the Majors since returning from the All-Star break.
Manager Kurt Suzuki’s offense has also tallied the second-most strikeouts in 2026 (1,170), thanks in part to a league-high 27.6% whiff rate. The Angels are failing to put pressure on opposing starting pitchers. That’s good news for Kansas City’s Noah Cameron on Sunday.
The crafty southpaw has been providing reliable length for the Royals, recording at least 18 outs in four of his previous six outings. Road environments haven’t rattled him, either, as his WHIP improves from 1.55 in home games to 1.05 in away games. Cameron pitched into the seventh inning when he faced the Angels in April. Expect a similar performance this time around.
Eury Perez Over 6.5 Strikeouts (-109)
Let’s shift from one underperforming offense to another. The Reds rank right behind the Angels with the third-most strikeouts this campaign (1,158).
It’s not hard to understand why, as Cincinnati sports the lowest chase contact rate (52.4%) and the second-lowest zone contact rate (82.6%) in the National League. Simply put, hitters are failing to put the ball in play or even extend at-bats with foul balls.
Battling Miami’s Eury Perez on Sunday is not the solution to Cincinnati’s problems. The 23-year-old hurler’s fastball is his bread and butter. It usually checks in around 98 miles per hour (MPH), but seems much faster due to elite extension from Perez’s 6-foot-8 frame.
Note that Perez has posted at least seven strikeouts in five of his previous eight starts overall, and in three of his four career starts against the Reds. Trust the arm over the bats in this matchup.
Ty France to Hit a Home Run (+549)
Ty France’s emergence is part of why the Padres find themselves in the thick of the National League Wild Card race. The veteran infielder has been red-hot in the batter’s box, slashing .352/.407/.590 with six home runs and seven doubles across the past 30 days.
The underlying metrics suggested a run like this was coming. France has been a top-35 pro in hard-hit rate (48.9%) and average exit velocity (92.3 MPH) this season. Sunday presents another chance for France to leave the yard.
Cleveland’s Tanner Bibee has surrendered a whopping 17 homers during his 14 starts at Progressive Field. That’s tied for the second-highest total at home among MLB pitchers.
France has taken Bibee deep once before and has logged an impressive .908 OPS versus right-handed arms this season. Throwing a sprinkle on France to tee off twice at +549 odds is an intriguing long-shot option.
