Brooklyn Nets at Cleveland Cavaliers

Leg 1: Cleveland Cavaliers 1st Quarter Race to 20 Points (-220)

We kick things off with a concentrated parlay that may not return the highest profit, yet it sets the table for our second game of the night. Cleveland lost an absolute heartbreaker in their first contest against Philadelphia on Thursday. Cleveland let go of a 29-point lead on, and ultimately couldn't close out Philadelphia in the end. We expect that to be fresh on the mind of the Cavaliers as they face an inferior Nets team.

Cleveland jumped out to a commanding 18-point advantage through the first 12 minutes against Philadelphia. The Cavaliers dropped 35 points on 52% shooting from the field in the first quarter on Thursday. If Cleveland can repeat that type of scoring and efficiency, they will easily be the first team to reach 20 points against Brooklyn.

Leg 2: Brooklyn Nets Under 28 1st Quarter Total Team Points (+102)

As a Nets fan, I take no joy in stating that the team lacks a point guard, size, rebounding, shooting, and maybe most importantly, an explosive playmaker. It's just the reality of where Brooklyn currently stands going into the 2026-2027 season. Hopefully things get better in throughout the season. As for this contest, it's difficult to envision Brooklyn cracking 28 points in the first quarter.

The Nets scored 23 points against an injured Charlotte team in their opening contest of the season. Brooklyn made nine field-goal attempts, and shot just below 41% from the field. The Nets showed little effort attacking the rim, and only managed four free-throw attempts through 12 minutes. If the Nets are once again incapable of making baskets or getting to the free-throw line, it stands to reason to take the Under on 28 total team points in the first quarter.

Leg 3: Cleveland Cavaliers Moneyline (-500)

Our last leg is an obvious choice, as we do not expect Cleveland to offer Brooklyn any opportunity to win this contest after such an embarrassing defeat on Thursday. The Nets are trying to find their way through a much tougher Eastern Conference. Whereas, the Cavaliers are favorites to be well into the playoff mix.

Cleveland has a sizable advantage across the board in regards to the starting five, and the Brooklyn front court will more than likely have no defense against James Harden and Donovan Mitchell. The guards for the Cavaliers will look to constantly attack Egor Demin, which will no doubt be a disastrous situation for Brooklyn.

Parlay Odds: +143

Houston Rockets at Atlanta Hawks

Leg 1: Onyeka Okongwu 3+ Assists (+154)

Our next parlay returns a much higher profit. Having said that, it also comes with a larger degree of risk. The Rockets and Hawks each played last night. Atlanta was able to rest their starters in the fourth quarter due to a large lead over the Hornets. While the Rockets were locked in a back-and-forth battle against San Antonio. We expect Houston to struggle somewhat offensively in this contest, due to the short turnaround, combined with the travel aspect.

Onyeka Okonngwu played 22 minutes on Friday, and finished with only one assist. Okongwu dished out seven dimes in the first contest for Atlanta on Wednesday. Dating back to last season, the center for the Hawks has recorded three assists or more in 3-of-4 games. Okongwu ended last season averaging 3.1 assists and 3.2 when playing at home.

Leg 2: Houston Rockets Under 123 Total Team Points (-320)

As previously stated, there's a good chance that Houston may be somewhat sluggish on the offensive end given the scheduling situation, and degree of difficulty in their matchup against San Antonio. We bumped up the points to 123 to give ourselves a little extra cushion in case something unforeseen should happen.

Houston scored 128 against Dallas in their opening contest on Wednesday. Dallas allowed the Rockets to score 100 points through three quarters. A feat we doubt Houston will repeat this evening against an Atlanta team allowing 103 points per game to start the season. The Rockets averaged 115 points when playing on the road in 2025-2026. Atlanta currently ranks 5th in regards to team defensive rating (98.6).

Leg 3: Atlanta Hawks Moneyline (-120)

We close out this parlay with an obvious choice. Our confidence that Atlanta will limit the scoring for Houston is quite high. Which means it's only logical to take the Hawks to win this contest as well. Atlanta have won their first two games on the season, and currently own one of the highest defensive ratings in the NBA. The Hawks are averaging 130 points through two contests, while knocking down 16 three-pointers per game.

There's a good chance Houston does not run their full lineup given the age of Kevin Durant, as well as Steven Adams, along with Fred Vanvleet's recent return after missing last season with a torn ACL. Nothing has been reported as of this morning. However, it would make sense to rest some older players in the first back-to-back on the road when the teams has to travel back home for their next contest.  The Rockets and Hawks will play once again on Monday in Houston. Houston and Atlanta are both undefeated through two games. Yet we are backing the Hawks to make it three consecutive wins.

Parlay Odds: +329
