MLB Playoffs Same Game Parlay Picks & Predictions for Saturday: Astros vs. Yankees
Houston Astros vs. New York Yankees
While this isn't an elimination game, the Yankees need a win desperately. They'll have their ace on the mound Gerrit Cole going against his old team, and while he's faced Houston before, this will be the first time in the postseason. Cole has pitched excellently in the playoffs so far by getting two wins in the ALDS. Most importantly, he's thrown into the seventh inning in both starts, which would be great for the Yankees, who have gone to their bullpen a lot in the playoffs.
The Astros will send up Cristian Javier, who had a breakout season with a 2.54 ERA. Pitching in Yankee Stadium is not a concern for him - in his lone start in the Bronx, he went seven hitless innings with 13 strikeouts that led to a combined no-hitter. Longevity is a concern, and he only went over five innings in 11-of-30 starts, but the bullpen has been great so far.
Cole has been great in the postseason and has been successful against Houston. I like the Houston pitching staff, and they'll keep it close, but I like the Yankees getting a win at home.
