MLB Same Game Parlay Odds & Picks: Tuesday (10/8)

Braves vs. Padres MLB Same Game Parlays (Sunday Night Baseball)

No team will be sent home tonight.

However, we’ve got two critical matchups in the National League Division Series (NLDS) tonight. The Mets will get their first home game of the postseason, tied 1-1 against the Phillies. On the other hand, the Padres will take on the Dodgers in Game 3 of the NLDS, with the series also tied 1-1.

In a best-of-five series, Game 3 contests are crucial. Here are two same-game parlays (SGPs) to consider for these playoff games.

Philadelphia Phillies vs. New York Mets

The Phillies will roll with Aaron Nola in Game 3 of the NLDS. Nola is a right-handed pitcher who has allowed a .250 ISO and wOBA of .418 to his last 49 righties. He’s also given up a .153 ISO and wOBA of .315 this season while allowing nearly 26% of line drives and 42.2% of hard contact.

Mark Vientos and Pete Alonso are the two most powerful righties against other righties in the Mets’ lineup. Vientos has hit a .152 ISO over the last month against righties but has since come around late with clutch hits throughout the postseason.

Meanwhile, Alonso has launched a .296 ISO and wOBA of .377 against his last 69 righties. He’s already launched two home runs in the postseason as well.

Meanwhile, the Phillies have done well limiting strikeouts against lefties. The projected lineup has only struck out 18.2% of the time and has just three batters who have struck out more than 20.8% of the time against lefties in the last 30 days. With Sean Manaea only earning 21.2% of strikeouts over the previous 30 days, it’s unlikely he’ll rack up strikeouts against the Phillies tonight.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. San Diego Padres

The Padres’ bats went off in Game 2 of the NLDS. I don’t see why they’ll stop in Game 3, especially in their home ballpark.

San Diego will take on Walker Buehler of the Dodgers. Buehler has allowed a .250 ISO and wOBA of .351 to his last 46 lefties. He’s also allowed a .239 ISO and wOBA of .387 to 178 lefties this season. Beyond that, Buehler has allowed 51.2% of hard contact to lefties and nearly 31% of line drives to lefties.

In addition, he’s recorded just 7.8% of swinging strikes and has earned below 17% of whiffs against lefties this season.

Therefore, you’ll want to stack the lefties in the Padres’ lineup.

Jackson Merrill has hit a .288 ISO and wOBA of .416 against his last 66 righties. Jurickson Profar has smashed a .167 ISO and wOBA of .389 against his last 77 righties. Finally, David Peralta has tattooed a .269 ISO and wOBA of .372 against his last 28 righties.

Those three lefties have shown enough power to ride with them in this same-game parlay.
