Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Colorado Rockies
- Leg 1: Corbin Carroll Over 1.5 Total Bases (-120)
- Leg 2: Ildemaro Vargas Over 1.5 Total Bases (-125)
- Leg 3: Michael Lorenzen Under 3.5 Strikeouts (-115)
The Colorado Rockies are set to pitch Michael Lorenzen today at Coors Field. The veteran righty has not had a great stretch against lefties. Over his last 30 days, he’s allowed a .310 ISO and a wOBA of .501 to his last 64 lefties. He’s given up a .344 ISO and a wOBA of .503 to 103 lefties as a right-handed pitcher.
We’ll want to attack with other lefties. Corbin Carroll has hit a .220 ISO and is patient against righties. He’s got a lot of potential to add an extra base hit tonight. Additionally, Ildemaro Vargas is one of the hottest hitters in baseball this season. He’s added a .152 ISO and a wOBA of .348 with only 12.9% of strikeouts against righties over the last month.
Plus, the Diamondbacks should have at least six hitters in the lineup with strikeout rates below 23%. Lorenzen has struck out just 14.7% of batters this season. We’ll close out this parlay with the under on his strikeouts.
Parlay Odds: +412
Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Los Angeles Angels
- Leg 1: Vaughn Grissom Over 1.5 Total Bases (+120)
- Leg 2: Mike Trout Over 1.5 Total Bases (+135)
- Leg 3: Jorge Soler Over 1.5 Total Bases (+175)
The Los Angeles Dodgers will send out Roki Sasaki tonight. He’s struggled immensely to begin the season, allowing a .257 ISO and a wOBA of .393 to 157 batters. Over the last 30 days, Sasaki has allowed a .341 ISO and a .449 wOBA to his last 47 righties. Those righties have hit 60.6% of hard contact, 30.3% of fly balls and a 15.2% barrel rate. He’s also added just 17% of strikeouts against righties.
Therefore, we’ll attack with the right-handed hitters on the Angels.
Vaughn Grissom has smacked a .211 ISO and a wOBA of .348 against righties over the last month. Mike Trout is right behind in the batting order, hitting a .230 ISO and a wOBA of .400. Jorge Soler should bat cleanup. He’s added a .207 ISO and a wOBA of .314 against righties over the last month.
The Angels strike out a lot against righties. However, Sasaki hasn’t proven himself with strikeouts, posting a strikeout rate below 20% this season. Let’s attack Sasaki today.
Parlay Odds: +980
