Washington Nationals vs. St. Louis Cardinals
- Leg 1: Quinn Mathews Over 5.5 Strikeouts (+106)
- Leg 2: Jake Irvin Under 3.5 Strikeouts (-120)
- Leg 3: Leo Bernal Over 1.5 Total Bases (+115)
The Washington Nationals are set to pitch Jake Irvin today. The right-hander has seen his strikeout rate dip over the last month from 22.5% on the season to 21.2% over the last 30 days. Additionally, Irvin has allowed a .220 ISO and a wOBA of .336 with 28.2% of fly balls and 28.2% of line drives over the last 30 days.
Irvin will face a Cardinals lineup that hasn’t hit for much power. However, the team is still putting the ball in play. Irvin could find success with balls in play, but his strikeout rate could be limited.
The only batter who has serious potential is Leonardo Bernal, who has hit a .234 ISO and a wOBA of .396 against his last 51 righties. He’s also struck out just 17.6% of the time during that stretch.
Finally, Quinn Mathews has held his last 121 batters to a .102 ISO and a wOBA of .302. His strikeout rate dropped, but the Nationals have quite a few players who have struck out at a high clip against lefties. Mathews figures to last long in this game, giving him a legitimate chance to reach at least six strikeouts.

Minnesota Twins vs. Los Angeles Angels

- Leg 2: Moises Ballesteros Over 1.5 Total Bases (+160)
- Leg 3: Josh Lowe Over 1.5 Total Bases (+180)
It’ll be Dean Kremer for the Minnesota Twins today. The right-hander has allowed a .224 ISO and a wOBA of .335 to his last 64 lefties.
Moises Ballesteros and Josh Lowe are two lefties who can take advantage.
Ballesteros has added a .193 ISO and a wOBA of .323 against his last 63 righties as a left-handed hitter, and Lowe has earned a .178 ISO and a wOBA of .323 against his last 52 righties. Both of these lefties have true potential.
Meanwhile, Ryan Johnson will get the start for the Angels. The righty has performed better recently, but he’s still added fewer than 20% of strikeouts in the last month. The Twins have a ton of batters keeping strikeouts down against righties in the last month, so there won’t be a ton of potential for Johnson to rack up strikeouts today.
