Cristopher Sanchez Over 17.5 Outs Recorded (-165)
The outs recorded market can be a tough one to read in September. It’s important to focus on squads with something at stake. The Phillies are fighting to secure a playoff spot and will have Cristopher Sanchez toeing the rubber at Citi Field on Sunday. The southpaw has provided consistent length, recording at least 18 outs in nine of his past 10 starts. A low walk rate (5.5%) and high groundball rate (58.1%) help Sanchez escape one jam after another.
A matchup against the Mets gives Sanchez a chance to remain productive. New York sports the league’s fourth-lowest home OPS (.687) and fourth-lowest on-base percentage (OBP) facing left-handed pitching (.303). Take note that its roster is slashing .220/.286/.358 with only nine extra-base hits in 109 at-bats against Sanchez. Trust the Philadelphia ace to cruise through six frames, just as he did when he battled the Mets earlier this campaign.
Rhett Lowder Under 3.5 Strikeouts (-120)
Not every hurler on the mound is a strikeout machine. Cincinnati’s Rhett Lowder isn’t afraid to induce contact and rely on his six-pitch mix to keep batters off balance. While it works in his favor at times, it makes targeting the under on his strikeouts prop the way to go. After all, Lowder checks in outside of the top 275 qualified pitchers in strikeout rate (17.4%), whiff rate (18.8%) and chase rate (26.6%). It’s simply not his specialty.
The Cubs visit Great American Ball Park on Sunday with an incredibly disciplined lineup. Chicago has posted the fourth-lowest chase rate (27.7%) and fifth-lowest whiff rate (23.3%) in the Majors. It shouldn’t be surprising to learn that manager Craig Counsell’s offense has tallied the fewest strikeouts in September (113). Expect extended at-bats and lengthy Cubs rallies to force Lowder out of the game before he logs four strikeouts.
Alec Burleson to Hit a Home Run (+490)
There are certain pitchers that stick out when diving into home run props. Washington’s Jake Irvin is one of them. The 29-year-old has allowed a whopping 104 homers since the start of the 2023 season. That’s the third-highest total among MLB arms. Irvin has been taken deep at least once in 10 of his previous 13 starts and ranks 325th out of 342 qualified pitchers in hard-hit rate in 2026 (45.1%). There’s been no shortage of smoked baseballs.
The Cardinals are in position to tee off on Sunday. Alec Burleson leads the team with a 50% hard-hit rate and 92.0 miles per hour (MPH) average exit velocity. It has resulted in a career-high 23 home runs for the outfielder. It’s worth pointing out that Burleson is also the only St. Louis player to have blasted one over the fence against Irvin before. Anyone in search of more bang for their buck could sprinkle on Burleson to go yard twice at +6200 odds.
