MLB World Series Home Run Props & Picks: Rays vs. Brewers (Saturday)

The Milwaukee Brewers escaped Game 1 of the World Series with a nail-biting 3-2 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays last night. Nobody hit a homer in that game, but maybe that’ll change in Game 2. Check out our MLB World Series home run props for tonight’s Game 2 matchup below.

    Jonathan Aranda (+630)

The Milwaukee Brewers will send out Logan Henderson tonight. The right-hander allowed a .174 ISO to 263 lefties this season. Additionally, he allowed an 8.9% barrel percentage to lefties and 52.4% hard contact.

Over the last month, Jonathan Aranda has added 47.8% of fly balls with 60.9% of hard contact. The lefty also smashed an 8.7% barrel percentage against righties in the last 30 days. The results haven’t totally been there for Aranda, but this is still a matchup to keep a close eye on.

    Liam Hicks (+980)

Liam Hicks is another left-handed slugger on the Rays who can do damage. He’s hit 28.6% of line drives against righties in the last 30 days.

Meanwhile, Henderson has allowed 29.2% of fly balls and 28% of line drives to lefties this season. Against his last 34 lefties, Henderson struck out fewer than 15% of batters and allowed nearly 12% walks.

If Hicks gets a hitter’s count, he’ll be in good position to hit one out of the yard. After all, Henderson has allowed 52.4% of hard contact this season.

    Victor Mesa Jr. (+570)

Let’s stick to the Rays lefties theme. Victor Mesa has hit 36.8% of fly balls and 63.2% of hard contact against righties in the last 30 days. Again, Henderson has struggled to keep the ball on the ground, adding only 32.3% of ground balls this season, including 28.6% against lefties.

Mesa has a high strikeout rate against righties, but Henderson hasn’t shown off his strikeout ability lately.

I’ll give Mesa Jr. a chance at +570 to knock one out. We’re stacking the Rays’ lefties.
