We hit one out of four last week again in Week 6. That made us profitable again as Ashton Jeanty found the end zone first for his first rushing touchdown of the season. Let's keep the ball rolling this week, and try to stack more than one winner. Someone must score the first TD of the game, and this article will help you increase your odds of hitting on that player based on matchups and team strengths. It will feature a selection for select games on Sunday's slate.
I will track my plays here on BettingPros. Let's get to the first touchdown scorer predictions for NFL Week 7!

NFL Week 7 First Touchdown Scorer Picks & Predictions
(All bets are one unit, unless otherwise specified)
Cincinnati Bengals vs. Baltimore Ravens
Baltimore starts fast in games, scoring 8.0 points per first quarter this season. That ranks tied for first in the league with the Chiefs. The Bengals average 5.6 points per first quarter, which is seventh in the league. It is unknown if Lamar Jackson (ankle) plays this week. He was not seen at the beginning of practice on Wednesday, and walked off the field with a limp in shorts and a hoodie when it ended. Head coach Jesse Minter said he was able to get some limited work in. He remains day-to-day.
Regardless of whether Jackson plays or if it is Tyler Huntley under center, I expect the Ravens to make this game competitive. Zay Flowers is nearly unguardable this season and is the focal point of this passing attack. The Bengals are coming off their bye week and will likely score a lot of points. That means the Ravens have to keep up, which means putting points on the board early.
Flowers has 30 targets over the last weeks and has caught 22 for 237 yards and one touchdown. He leads the team with four red zone receptions on five targets. He separates as well as any player in the league and should get peppered early and often in this matchup.
Pick: Zay Flowers (+1000 at DraftKings)
San Francisco 49ers vs. Atlanta Falcons
The 49ers and Falcons are among the best in the league in first-quarter scoring. The 49ers average 6.2 and the Falcons sit at 5.8 per first quarter. Both teams have solid defenses, but the 49ers' is arguably the best in the league. I do not expect the Falcons to find much success against them this week.
George Kittle is one of the last remaining pass-catchers healthy for Brock Purdy and the 49ers. Mike Evans (ribs/achilles) is likely sidelined this week with a bye week coming in Week 8. Deebo Samuel Sr. (hamstring) missed last week and could miss this week to allow him an extra week to get fully healthy. That leaves Brandin Cooks, Christian Kirk, Jordan Watkins, and Jacob Cowing to line up at wide receiver.
Christian McCaffrey saw his most targets (10) of the season last week, and I expect that to continue. Kittle also saw his season-high in targets last week with eight. He leads this team with 10 red zone targets this season, catching eight for four touchdowns. He scored first last week, and I think he repeats that this week.
Pick: George Kittle (+950 at DraftKings)
Green Bay Packers vs. Detroit Lions
The coin toss may determine who scores in this matchup. The Lions are tied with the Bills for most points scored per game this season at 32.8. The Packers sit at 21.2, but have scored 54 over the last two weeks. The Packers also average 5.0 points scored per first quarter, while the Lions sit at 2.0. I like the Packers to score first this week, while the Lions continue the trend of scoring in bunches late in games.
Christian Watson dropped a touchdown last week, but he should clean things up this week against an awful secondary. The Lions allow the most passing yards per game and have allowed five touchdowns to wide receivers through five games this season. They do not have an answer for Matthew Golden and Watson. Watson's deep threat ability makes him a favorable target to score first in a great matchup.
Pick: Christian Watson (+1150 at BetMGM)
