Wednesday’s Best MLB Player Prop Bets

Alex Bregman Over 1.5 Total Bases (-110)

Alex Bregman has added a .247 ISO and wOBA of .387 with 18.8% of strikeouts against right-handed pitching this season. He’s also hit 39% of fly balls with 52.5% of hard contact. In addition, he’s only hit 33.9% of ground balls against righties.

Meanwhile, he’ll battle Seattle’s Emerson Hancock, who has simply struggled against both sides of the plate this season. Hancock has allowed a .308 ISO and wOBA of .539 to his first 28 batters. More specifically, he’s allowed a .417 ISO and wOBA of .535 to his first 12 righties. Even last year, Hancock allowed a .281 ISO and wOBA of .371 to 139 righties. He’s ultimately not good against righties.

Therefore, let’s take Alex Bregman to earn at least two total bases. He’s got an awesome matchup.

Gunnar Henderson Over 1.5 Total Bases (-125)

Trevor Williams will get the start for the Washington Nationals tonight. The right-hander has allowed a .273 ISO and wOBA of .510 to his first 51 lefties this season. Williams has also struck out only 15.7% of lefties. In addition, he’s allowed 28.9% of line drives with 28.9% of fly balls against lefties.

Meanwhile, he’ll take on Gunnar Henderson of the Baltimore Orioles, who is a left-handed slugger, hitting a .308 ISO and wOBA of .408. Henderson has a high strikeout rate against righties, but Williams is not much of a strikeout threat, as suggested earlier.

Henderson has hit 36% of line drives with 88% of hard contact against righties this season. He’s also earned a 16% barrel percentage with a .435 batting average on balls in play (BABIP). His hard, line-drive contact has resulted in a very high on-base percentage (OBP) against righties. Take Henderson to add at least two total bases tonight.

Eduardo Rodriguez Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-102)

Eduardo Rodriguez has earned 30.2% of strikeouts to begin his season with the Diamondbacks this year. The left-handed thrower has also added only 6.2% of walks and has given up below 15% of fly balls.

Meanwhile, he’ll face a Tampa Bay Rays lineup that has been dreadful against lefties. The projected lineup has a .105 ISO and a wOBA of .299, with 23% strikeouts. In that lineup, five batters have struck out at least 26.7% of the time. Four of those batters have struck out at least 30.4% of the time against lefties.

Rodriguez has some major targets in this Rays lineup. He’s also averaged nearly 91 pitches per start this season. Let’s ride with Rodriguez to earn at least six strikeouts.
