(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Sabrina Ionescu 5+ Assists (-118)
As much as the Liberty will need Sabrina Ionescu's scoring, it will be the facilitation that gives the team its best chance to extend the series. Ionescu has dished out at least five assists in three out of four playoff games. The Liberty guard averaged 4.8 assists in wins over the regular season, and 5.3 post-All-Star break.
Ionescu is averaging 5.2 assists through the playoffs - including a seven-assist performance in New York’s last home game of the first round. Any offense is running at its best when the point guard is connecting with teammates for open looks. Given how bullish we are on Breanna Stewart’s scoring, it wouldn't be surprising if Ionescu directs all five assists to one teammate.
Most Points: Breanna Stewart (+120)
We weighed the option of going with Breanna Stewart’s points + rebounds + assists combo prop. But it seemed a little unnecessary. Having the decorated veteran score the most points in this contest, while benefiting from a positive return, seems much more logical.
Stewart has been on the floor for the Liberty for over 40 minutes in each of the previous three contests. She is coming off a 35-point performance on 52% shooting, including two shots from beyond the arc. Stewart will have to dig deep to force a Game 4 and should see as many touches as possible.
Stewart put up over 20 shot attempts while getting to the line on 13 fouls last time out. A repeat of that aggression will easily put Stewart at the top of the scoring heap in Game 3.
Jordin Canada 2+ Made Three-Pointers (+112)
The last selection for the contest between the Dream and Liberty is somewhat surprising. Aside from Game 1 against the Washington Mystics in the first round, Jordin Canada has been one of Atlanta’s top scoring options in the playoffs. Canada finished the season averaging 3.2 attempts from beyond the arc. The Dream guard has since doubled that average over the last three games.
Canada has hoisted up 20 three-point attempts in her last three playoff contests. The veteran guard has knocked down 11 three-point shots over that span, with at least two in each of the three games. Canada is shooting over 50% from above the perimeter on her last 20 attempts. Based on volume, recent performances and return on investment (ROI), Canada making two three-pointers is our favorite player prop of the night.
A'ja Wilson 28+ Points (-113)
Nothing too complicated on this selection. The now five-time MVP is up against the wall and could be swept out of the playoffs if the Aces lose this contest. That can only mean we are about to get the best version of A'ja Wilson. There is a high expectation for Las Vegas to run as many plays as possible for Wilson, and that will no doubt result in many trips to the line.
The hill Las Vegas has to climb will be extremely difficult. If the Aces are to even begin to come back in this series, it will have to start with a few dominant performances from the league's most dominant player. Wilson scored at least 28 points in two out of three regular-season contests against the Valkyries. She has not scored more than 24 in the semifinals. We think that changes tonight.
Tiffany Hayes Under 8.5 Points (-120)
Tiffany Hayes has been a prominent contributor in the first two rounds of the playoffs. The veteran guard has scored at least 18 points in three out of five games. That would normally seem like an easy over for this evening, given that we only need nine points. However, our issue is with Hayes’ consistency, and we may have a small exploitable trend.
Hayes has alternated good and bad games in the playoffs: 21, 6, 18, 3, 21 points. It appears to be a case of one good game followed by a less successful performance. Hayes did not eclipse seven points over three regular-season games against the Aces. The minutes are also a concern. Hayes’ playing time has fluctuated between 11 and 27 minutes.
Enjoy the game tonight. Good luck with your picks.
