We’ve got a standalone WNBA matchup between the Indiana Fever and Los Angeles Sparks. It’s ultimately an exciting matchup between Caitlin Clark and Cameron Brink, two of the most talked-about rookies in the WNBA.
That said, the Fever are 0-5. Clark and the Fever haven’t won a game this season, yet they’ve come close in a couple of them. On the other hand, the Sparks are just 1-2 after they pulled off a 70-68 victory a few days ago against the Washington Mystics.

Kia Nurse is currently the second-leading scorer on the Sparks. She’s added 16.3 points per game this season and has scored at least 13 points in all three games.
In addition, Nurse has seen 30+ minutes of game action and has attempted at least eight shots in every game. Nurse has already attempted 20 threes in two games and has hit nine of those 20 threes. Therefore, I’m looking at her Over for tonight’s game against the Fever.
On the other hand, although Caitlin Clark leads the Fever in points per game, Kelsey Mitchell and NaLyssa Smith are second and third on the list.
Mitchell has scored at least 17 points in three consecutive games. Her minutes have increased from about 20 minutes in the first two games to 30+ minutes in the other three. Mitchell is also a very good three-point shooter. She’s attempted at least 16 shots in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, NaLyssa Smith added a season-high 16 points in Indiana’s loss to Seattle. She also took a season-high 13 shots and added 61.5% from the field. On the road, Indiana is the favorite to get its first win of the season. If that’s the case, you can expect Mitchell and Smith to add enough points to help get Fever the win.
