2026 Preakness Stakes Predictions: Bull By The Horns

After a dismal seventh in the Fountain of Youth back in February, Bull by the Horns bounced back on the all-weather surface at Turfway, but he looks like a long shot against this group. He’s never faced a field this deep (14), he hasn’t raced in nearly two months due to weather, and his only graded start was a clunker. He was originally slated to run in last weekend's Peter Pan Stakes, but the weather kept him from breezing leading up to the race, and he was scratched. Shipped from Gulfstream on Sunday but said to have made the trip soundly. The 30-1 is probably close to accurate, but in a race this open, closers always have a puncher’s chance if the front end falls apart from emptying the tanks too early.
