2026 Preakness Stakes Predictions: Corona de Oro

His seventh-place finish at the Churchill Downs on September 1, 2025, but he showed improvement in subsequent races. He took third at Keeneland about a month later (October 16). Following that, he took second at the Fair Grounds in New Orleans (January 24, 2026) and first at the same track a few weeks later (March 7). He placed third his last time out, on April 11, at Keeneland. It feels like it is a little hard to know what you'll get from Corona de Oro on any given race day. Yes, he's capable of running a great race, but his inconsistency is maddening. At 30-1, there are worse horses to take a flyer on as a longshot to win. But keep any wagers small and don't count on seeing your money again.
