2026 Preakness Stakes Predictions: The Hell We Did

The name alone is enough to grab my attention, but his track record makes me wonder why he doesn't have better odds. He got his career off to a nice start last year with a win at Remington Park on October 16, 2025, which he followed with a second-place finish at Zia Park (November 11, 2025). The Hell We Did got 2026 off to a roaring start, winning at Sunland by 13 lengths (March 15, 2026), which he followed with a second-place finish at Keeneland. Todd Fincher is his trainer, and he'll be ridden by Luis Saez, a former Kentucky Derby and Breeders' Cup winner. I wonder what I'm not seeing that resulted in what looks like an excellent horse on paper having the odds that he has (15-1), but with his track record, I'd certainly include him in exotics and maybe even take him to win.
