2026 Preakness Stakes Predictions: Great White

Post Position: 13
Odds: 15-1

Great White was getting a lot of attention ahead of the Kentucky Derby simply due to his immense size. While we didn’t get to see Great White race that day, as the horse was a late scratch after flipping over trying to enter his post, I don’t think bettors are going to be happy with him if they back him on Saturday. The hype around Great White at the Kentucky Derby seemed wholly unwarranted, especially when you consider that he has finished outside the top three in two of his four races. That includes his most recent appearance at the Blue Grass, where he finished fifth. This is a horse that I won’t be backing, especially since I think the public is going to drain any value out of his odds.
