Another week of MLB action concludes with what should be an interesting Sunday. We have marquee matchups, divisional rivalries and interleague games to choose from when deciding which player props to play.
Here are a few of my favorite MLB player props for Sunday's games, along with a special combo play for the London Series matchup between the New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies. Please note that this game has an early start time.

Sunday's Best MLB Player Prop Bets
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook and Caesars Sportsbook)
J.T. Realmuto Over 1.5 Total Bases (Risk 0.63U at -105 at DraftKings Sportsbook)
J.T. Realmuto Under 0.5 Strikeouts (Risk 0.37U at +210 at DraftKings Sportsbook)
My first MLB player prop for Sunday is a hybrid play backing J.T. Realmuto against Jose Quintana and the New York Mets in the finale of this season's London Series.
Realmuto has been a much better hitter when facing left-handed pitchers this season. He is hitting .314 and slugging .500, compared to a .239 batting average and .373 slugging percentage when facing a right-hander. Realmuto strikes out a fair amount even against lefties, fanning at 25%. However, that should be less of a concern against Quintana. In 17 career plate appearances versus the Mets' southpaw, Realmuto has yet to go down on strikes.
Quintana is striking out just 15.7% of total hitters this year, his lowest rate since his rookie season. He is also much more likely to give up base hits on the road and versus right-handed hitters this season.
Quintana has allowed a .277 batting average to righties, versus a .236 average to lefties. He has also ceded a .289 average on the road compared to a .248 clip at home. London Stadium has been a favorable environment for hitters in limited MLB games, so this should be a good spot for those trends to continue.
I am risking a total of 1U on this play, and I staggered the risk to turn a small profit by hitting either prop. But feel free to adjust as you see fit if you prefer one of these player props.
David Fry Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBI (+100 at DraftKings Sportsbook)
I cannot guarantee this or any MLB player prop I play will hit. However, I can tell you that when I saw the price for this prop, I could not hit the button fast enough.
It started with me trying to find a way to fade Trevor Rogers. He has gone over both his Hits Allowed and Walks Allowed lines in nine of 12 starts this year. But both lines are heavily juiced, and I honestly could not decide which one I liked better. Then I dug into his splits.
Among 89 qualified starters, Rogers has the eighth-highest ERA (5.61) and sixth-highest BABIP (.354) allowed when facing right-handed hitters. His underlying metrics are not much better. Rogers' 4.64 FIP and 4.50 xFIP are 12th and 16th, respectively, among qualified pitchers. Enter David Fry. Fry is arguably the best hitter in the Major Leagues this season when facing a left-handed pitcher.
Out of 173 qualified hitters this season, Fry is first in on-base percentage (.553), weighted on-base percentage (.533) and wRC+ (257) versus lefties. He is also second in ISO (.377) and slugging (.755) while ranking third in batting average (.377). On top of that, Fry is hitting .300 or better against all four of Rogers' offerings.
The biggest stumbling block to this prop cashing is the likelihood of a walk or two. Fry is also second against left-handers in walk rate, trailing only Aaron Judge. Meanwhile, Rogers has the sixth-highest walk rate to right-handed hitters. However, Fry is +120 to walk on DraftKings. This provides a solid hedging opportunity if you are worried about a walk getting in the way of cashing the prop.
Justin Verlander Under 2.5 Earned Runs Allowed (-123 at Caesars Sportsbook)
Justin Verlander will look to lead the Houston Astros to a sweep of the Los Angeles Angels on Sunday afternoon. At the very least, I like him to limit the damage against a scuffling offense.
The Angels have gone 15 straight games without scoring five or more runs as a team. And to say they have had issues against right-handed pitchers of late would be a vast understatement.
Over the past 21 days, Los Angeles is last among all 30 Major League offenses in batting average (.181), on-base percentage (.252), ISO (.094), wOBA (.248) and wRC+ (58) when a right-hander is on the hill. And even at 41 years old, Verlander is still getting the job done for Houston.
Verlander has gone under this number in six of nine starts this year, including five of six on the road. He also has an excellent history in limited action against Angels hitters, with the lone exception being Willie Calhoun. All other Angel hitters have combined for a .394 OPS in 31 career plate appearances against the veteran. I expect him to be able to navigate Calhoun and the rest of this lineup.
I do not anticipate Verlander getting into a ton of trouble on Sunday. But if he does, Houston enters this matchup with an extremely efficient well-rested bullpen that can bail him out of a jam. Over the past month, Astros relievers have the league's best LOB rate (85.5 percent), while ranking second in ERA (2.08) and opponents' batting average (.188). They have also combined to pitch just three innings over the past three days.
Ultimately, I expect Verlander to do most of the heavy lifting on his own, but either way, I am taking the under on his Earned Runs Allowed prop in this matchup.
