NFL Monday Night Football Touchdown Scorers: Falcons vs. Saints

Odds via DraftKings Sportsbook

Atlanta Falcons First TD Scorer: Bijan Robinson (+140)

Only Jahmyr Gibbs has been a more productive running back than Robinson this season. The former Texas star has been the focal point of the Falcons' offense, accounting for 60% of the team's offensive touchdowns. The superstar running back has found the end zone in two of three games this year, including twice last week in the upset win over the Green Bay Packers. More importantly, he has been the go-to guy early in games.

Atlanta failed to score a touchdown in Week 2. However, Robinson has the team's first touchdown in the other two games this season. Meanwhile, the Saints have struggled to keep opposing running backs out of the end zone, allowing four rushing touchdowns. Furthermore, the first touchdown scored against New Orleans was by a running back in two of their first three matchups. More aggressive bettors should back Robinson to score twice (+235) following last week's performance.

New Orleans Saints First TD Scorer: Chris Olave (+390)

Unfortunately, the Saints will be without Travis Etienne Jr. for at least the next four games because of a hamstring injury. That means more of the offense will fall on Tyler Shough's arm. Thankfully, he has an elite wide receiver to target. Olave has only one touchdown this season but leads the team with 34 targets and a 27% target-per-route-run rate. More importantly, the former Ohio State star's lone touchdown was New Orleans' first score in Week 2.

Meanwhile, the Falcons' pass defense has played better than expected this year. However, they struggled to keep the Green Bay Packers' wide receiver unit out of the end zone last week. Atlanta surrendered two receiving touchdowns to the Packers' wide receiver core, as Christian Watson and Matthew Golden found the end zone. Don't be surprised if Olave scores a touchdown early in Monday night's game, especially with A.J. Terrell missing the contest with a groin injury.

Anytime TD Scorer: Drake London (+125)

London struggled over the first two weeks of the season, totaling six receptions on 10 targets for 80 receiving yards. However, he was catching balls from Cooper Rush, which should earn him a pass from bettors. Thankfully, Michael Penix Jr. returned in Week 3 and turned the former USC star into a target machine. While he failed to find the end zone, London had nine receptions on 10 targets for 194 receiving yards, leading the team in every category.

Furthermore, the superstar's target-per-route-run rate jumped from 18% with Rush under center to 48% with Penix starting last week. Meanwhile, the Saints have failed to keep opposing wide receivers out of the end zone. They have surrendered four receiving touchdowns to wide receivers, the fifth-most in the NFL over the first three weeks. Furthermore, three of those touchdowns were by the opposing team's No. 1 wide receiver. London's touchdown drought should end on Monday night.

Anytime TD Scorer: Juwan Johnson (+230)

While Johnson isn't a household name or a superstar tight end, the veteran has quietly been one of the top players at his position to start the year. The former Oregon star has three receiving touchdowns, the most among tight ends and the fourth-most in the NFL. More importantly, Johnson leads the Saints in offensive scores, accounting for 30% of the team's total. Last week, the veteran was unstoppable against the Las Vegas Raiders.

The former Oregon star had two touchdowns in Week 3, accounting for half of Tyler Shough's total. Meanwhile, the Falcons have struggled to keep tight ends out of the end zone. They have surrendered three receiving touchdowns to tight ends, the fourth-most in the NFL over the first three weeks. Darren Waller scored two touchdowns against Atlanta in Week 2. Therefore, more aggressive bettors should back Johnson to score twice (+2000) after having two touchdowns last week.
