MLB Sleeper Picks Player Predictions
Sleeper Record: 95-45
We faded the Athletics with George Kirby’s strikeout prop last night, and all he did was come through with nine strikeouts. That makes it 13 consecutive right-handed starters to find at least six strikeouts against them. Ten of those 13 have found at least seven. Logan Gilbert is more than capable of getting there himself. He ranks in the 76th percentile in CSW% and 70th in K% amongst starters. The matchup is too good to pass up, so take the more than at a nice price point.
Unless you have been hiding underneath a rock, you should know how bad Patrick Corbin is. There’s a myriad of ways to fade him, but I like his walk player prediction based on the price and hit rate. He has gone over this line in nine of his 12 starts, ranking in the 31st percentile in BB% among starting pitchers. The Mets are well acquainted with what he brings to the table, having been divisional foes with him since he joined the Nationals in 2019, so they shouldn’t have too hard a time deciphering his attempts to lure them out of the zone.
Yes, you read that right. The Paul Skenes fade happens today, with the Dodgers in town. Los Angeles hasn’t been at their best lately, but that’s not stopping me here. Twenty-two of the past 25 righties to face the Dodgers have stayed under this mark. It’s a high number, even for someone of Skenes’ punchout prowess. We all know what this Dodgers lineup is capable of, so let’s be bold and sweat this one out.
