2026 Masters Picks & Predictions: Jordan Spieth

2026 Masters Picks & Predictions: Jordan Spieth

The best golfers in the world will be in Augusta, Georgia, this week for the first major of the year, The Masters. We’re going to share our top 2026 Masters picks and predictions.

Augusta National Golf Club is simultaneously a feast for the eyes and a stern test of golfing acumen. The Georgia pines and blooming azaleas highlight Augusta's beauty, but this world-renowned course demands precise ballstriking and short-game excellence.

Rory McIlroy had an epic victory at last year's Masters to earn his first Green Jacket. Can he successfully defend his title, or will the No. 1 player in the world, Scottie Scheffler, win at Augusta for the third time in five years? PGA Tour stars Ludvig Aberg and Xander Schauffele are looking for a career-altering victory, and big-hitting LIV Tour stalwarts Jon Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau will be in the hunt.

Welcome to the fifth annual BettingPros Guide to The Masters. We'll take a deep dive into the field, taking a closer look at the players contending for the coveted Green Jacket. Which players provide betting value and which are bad bets? Read on.

2026 Masters Picks & Predictions: Jordan Spieth

Stats to Know

  • Odds to Win: +4300
  • World Ranking: 61
  • Best Masters finish: 1 (2015)
  • Last four Masters finishes: MC, 4, MC, 14
  • Last four tournament finishes: 11, 32, 11, 63

Course History

Early in his career, it seemed as if Spieth was born for The Masters. He tied for second in his 2014 debut, finishing three shots behind winner Bubba Watson. Spieth won in 2015, leading wire to wire and finishing -18, four shots clear of the field. It looked as if Spieth would win again the following year. He led by five shots as he made the turn on Sunday, but he bogeyed Nos. 10 and 11, then put two balls into Rae’s Creek on No. 12, made quadruple bogey, and wound up tied for second three shots behind winner Danny Willett. Spieth also finished top five in 2018, 2021, and 2023. But Spieth has missed the cut in two of the last four years — his only missed cuts at Augusta.

Recent Form

Spieth hasn’t cracked the top 10 in any of his eight PGA Tour events in 2026, but he finished 11th in both the Arnold Palmer Invitational and Valspar Championship, and he was 12th at the Genesis Invitational. It’s no surprise that Spieth ranks outside the top 100 in driving accuracy. Wayward drives have long been part of the Jordan Spieth experience. His iron play has been solid, however, as Spieth ranks 33rd in strokes gained on approach. He also ranks 15th in scrambling.

2026 Masters Outlook & Predictions

As well as Spieth has fared at The Masters over the years, it wouldn’t be shocking if he were to contend this week. History indicates that Augusta National suits him, and while he hasn’t seriously contended in any event this year, Spieth’s game isn’t in shambles, as it’s occasionally been in recent years. The big question is whether Spieth can roll in enough putts to make a run. Once regarded as one of the best putters in the world, Spieth has ranked 65th or worse in strokes gained putting in each of the last four seasons, and he ranks 56th in that category this year.

Betting Outlook: 2026 Masters Picks

Recent form suggests that Spieth probably isn’t capable of beating the big dogs this week to earn a second Green Jacket. But with his outstanding track record at Augusta, I like the pot odds on a top-five finish for Spieth at +650.
