2026 Masters Picks & Predictions: Justin Thomas

2026 Masters Picks & Predictions: Justin Thomas

The best golfers in the world will be in Augusta, Georgia, this week for the first major of the year, The Masters. We’re going to share our top 2026 Masters picks and predictions.

Augusta National Golf Club is simultaneously a feast for the eyes and a stern test of golfing acumen. The Georgia pines and blooming azaleas highlight Augusta's beauty, but this world-renowned course demands precise ballstriking and short-game excellence.

Rory McIlroy had an epic victory at last year's Masters to earn his first Green Jacket. Can he successfully defend his title, or will the No. 1 player in the world, Scottie Scheffler, win at Augusta for the third time in five years? PGA Tour stars Ludvig Aberg and Xander Schauffele are looking for a career-altering victory, and big-hitting LIV Tour stalwarts Jon Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau will be in the hunt.

Welcome to the fifth annual BettingPros Guide to The Masters. We'll take a deep dive into the field, taking a closer look at the players contending for the coveted Green Jacket. Which players provide betting value and which are bad bets? Read on.

2026 Masters Picks & Predictions: Justin Thomas

Stats to Know

  • Odds to Win: +5500
  • World Ranking: 15
  • Best Masters finish: 4 (2020)
  • Last four Masters finishes: 8, MC, MC, 36
  • Last three tournament finishes: MC, 8, 30

Course History

JT’s best Masters finish was a solo fourth in 2020, but that was the unusual fall Masters during the COVID year in 2020, and Thomas was eight shots behind winner Dustin Johnson and three shots behind runners-up Cam Smith and Sungjae Im. JT’s next-best finish was an eighth-place showing in 2022. Thomas has missed the cut in two of the last three years. His career Masters scoring average is exactly even par: 72.00.

Recent Form

Thomas has played only three tournaments this year after undergoing back surgery in November. His best showing was a solid eighth-place finish at the Players Championship. JT finished 30th in his most recent event, the Valspar Championship.

2026 Masters Outlook & Predictions

Historically, Thomas has been competent but non-threatening at Augusta. There’s little reason to think he can make a run at a Green Jacket this week when he’s still getting his game back in order after back surgery.

Betting Outlook: 2026 Masters Picks

Despite an uninspiring track record, I’d be interested in Thomas at odds north of 50-1 if he weren’t in the rust-removal phase of his return from back surgery. JT is a fade this week.
