    Houston Astros (+116) at Nationals (-136) | O/U 9.5 (-122/EVEN

The Astros and Nationals are trotting lousy starting pitchers to the bump tonight. According to FanGraphs, among 92 pitchers with at least 80 innings pitched in 2026, Miles Mikolas ranks 86th in ERA (5.44), and Mike Burrows ranks 87th (5.58).

Predictably, both hurlers also have unimpressive underlying data. Mikolas has a 4.78 xERA, 4.56 xFIP and 4.59 SIERA. The 37-year-old righty has permitted a .334 wOBA to 203 left-handed batters and a .340 wOBA to 154 right-handed batters.

Burrows is responsible for a 4.57 xERA, 4.81 xFIP and 4.71 SIERA. He’s allowed a .306 wOBA to 171 right-handed batters, and the 227 left-handed batters who’ve faced him have hammered him to the tune of a .414 wOBA.

Both bullpens are also below average. Houston’s relievers are 20th in ERA (4.27), and Washington’s are 27th (5.03). Each offense should have opportunities to produce.

The makeup of Washington’s lineup could allow them to do the heavy lifting tonight. They should have at least six left-handed batters in the lineup against Burrows, and they’ll likely have seven.

The offenses in this matchup aren’t elite. Nevertheless, the Astros are tied for 10th in wRC+ (104) versus righties, and the Nationals are tied for 15th in wRC+ (102) versus righties in 2026. These offenses should take advantage of their matchups and log at least 10 combined runs tonight, pushing the game’s total over 9.5 runs.

    Pick: Over 9.5 Runs (-122)

    Milwaukee Brewers (-116) at Cardinals (-102) | O/U 8.0 (-108/-112

Shane Drohan is having a rock-solid rookie season, working out of Milwaukee’s bullpen and rotation. After making a start on April 8th, he made 10 straight relief appearances before returning to the rotation. In the lefty’s six starts spanning 30.1 innings since returning to the rotation, Drohan has recorded the following numbers:

    • 3.56 ERA
    • 3.90 xERA
    • 3.70 xFIP
    • 3.85 SIERA
    • 1.35 WHIP
    • 7.8% walk rate
    • 24.2% strikeout rate

Drohan’s matchup isn’t too imposing tonight. The Cardinals are tied for 11th in wRC+ (100) versus lefties and tied for 22nd in wRC+ (96) at home in 2026. The Red Birds are also in an offensive funk, ranking tied for 22nd in wRC+ (87) in the previous 30 days.

Milwaukee’s bullpen can also carve up St. Louis’s offense. The Brewers are fourth in bullpen ERA (3.48).

The Cardinals lag behind the Brewers in the pitching department tonight. Dustin May has a 4.80 ERA in 16 starts in 2026, albeit with a 3.84 xERA, 3.89 xFIP and 3.94 SIERA. Unfortunately for May, he doesn’t have an ideal matchup for pitching closer to his ERA estimators.

The 28-year-old righty has coughed up a .359 wOBA to 217 left-handed batters this season. Milwaukee’s lineup will likely include six left-handed batters. In addition, May is coming off back-to-back meltdowns, allowing six runs to the Royals on June 21st and five to the Braves on July 2nd, recording just six outs and two outs in those starts, respectively.

St. Louis’s bullpen is also average. The Cardinals are tied for 16th in bullpen ERA (4.14). The pitching advantages and Milwaukee’s lefty-leaning lineup should lead to a win against their National League Central foes tonight.

    Pick: Brewers Moneyline (-116)
