Milwaukee Brewers vs. Los Angeles Dodgers

This battle between two of MLB's best teams has lived up to the hype, with Milwaukee winning the first game 5-4, the Dodgers rebounding to take the second 3-1 and the Brewers taking yesterday's contest 3-1. Today's matchup will probably not disappoint either.

Neither team has hit well over the last week (Brewers: .200; Dodgers: .222), which tells me this game will likely come down to pitching. With Tarik Skubal getting the start, it must be an advantage for the Dodgers, right? Not necessarily.

Yes, Skubal's stats are impressive (2.93 ERA, 0.93 WHIP, .209 opponents’ batting average), but so are Logan Henderson's (2.99 ERA, 0.91 WHIP, .197 opponents’ batting average).

If you really want to bet on a winner, go with the Milwaukee Moneyline; it has a lot of value at +163 odds.

But the better bet is the under, not because the two previous games went under, but because we've got two struggling offenses facing dominant pitchers. Henderson has not given up more than three earned runs in a game this season, while Skubal has not allowed more than four.

Factor in relievers not giving up a run in the last two games, and it becomes clear that the under is the best bet for this game.

    Pick: Under 7.5 Runs (-114)

    Seattle Mariners vs. Houston Astros

Neither team hit well before this series got underway, but both have done a solid job over the last two games (32 total runs scored, 15 for Houston and 17 for Seattle). Neither team has an advantage at the plate. Well, maybe the Astros, but only because they are at home.

On the mound, however, Houston has an advantage. Hunter Brown has a 4.17 ERA at home and has held opponents to a .201 batting average this season in seven starts at home.

Bryan Woo has been great in Seattle, but struggles on the road (6.22 ERA, .292 opponents’ batting average on the road). However, Woo held the Astros to two runs in six innings earlier this season in Houston, and Brown has averaged fewer than three runs allowed per game across his last six outings.

Both starters should be fine and have solid games, but the bullpens have combined for 18 earned runs over the last two games. That will be when the final score goes over this very low total.

    Pick: Over 7.5 Runs (-118)
