Pretty soon there will be another game that will grab the attention of sports fans everywhere. But, for now, Sunday still belongs to Major League Baseball, and we have a great 15-game slate on deck for our betting and viewing pleasure.

Atlanta Braves vs. New York Yankees
Cam Schlitter is one of the best pitchers in the game, but he is often not at his best at home (2-4, 4.32 ERA, .269 OBA). Grant Holmes has been good on the road (1-1, 3.47 ERA, .224 OBA), so I don't see the Yankees bats blowing up on him. It’s also hard to say what the Yankees lineup will produce as they've hit around .200 for the last week.
Schlitter has bounced back with a dominant outing every time he's been chased before the fifth inning. The only question is how much support he'll get from his lineup. Since we can't count on it, I'm banking on both pitchers doing their jobs and keeping the score low.
Pick: Under 8.5 Runs (-113)
Minnesota Twins vs. Milwaukee Brewers
When a team has a pitcher like Jacob Misiorowski getting the start, it is hard to find a reason not to bet on his team. He has a 1.63 ERA, a .073 WHIP, and teams are hitting just .145 against him this season. It would be nice if his lineup was hitting better these days (.230 over the last week), but the Twins have only been hitting .236; advantage Brewers.
Since the Brewers only won yesterday by a single run, the run line is in play for the Twins, but I'm taking the Milwaukee run line.
Connor Prielipp struggles on the road. He is 0-3 in six road starts with a 6.28 ERA and a .306 OBA. It sounds like this is a game where the Brewers lineup should wake up a bit. However, with Misiorowski on the mound, they will not need to wake up much to cover the run line.
Pick: Brewers -1.5 (-107)
Detroit Tigers vs. San Francisco Giants
When I looked at the starting pitchers for this game (Todd Melton (Det): 7-1, 1.58 ERA, 0.91 WHIP; Logan Webb (San): 7-7, 3.74 ERA, 1.11 WHIP), I initially thought the Under (7.5 at -115) would be the obvious best bet for this game. But, Detroit is hitting .297 over the last week with 42 runs in six games. As for the Giants, San Francisco has been hitting a league worst .179. Melton can absolutely keep that lineup in check.
Even if Webb has a solid outing, it was the bullpen that gave up seven of the eight runs the Tigers scored yesterday. Detroit will get the offense it needs, either from Webb or the 'pen, to secure a lead and the eventual win.
