Saturday’s Best Summer League NBA Picks & Predictions: Hawks vs. Jazz

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Atlanta Hawks (+116) at Utah Jazz (-142) | O/U 178.5 (-112/-112)

The Hawks and Jazz will do battle in the second game of the day on Saturday in SLC, and the hometown crowd will get its first look at Darryn Peterson, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft. He’ll look to develop some chemistry with Ace Bailey, picked No. 5 overall last season. Bailey will be front and center for the hometown team, while Blake Hinson and Cody Williams are back and figure to get a long look. Hayden Gray and Bez Mbeng are players who saw some regular-season time with the Jazz, and they both figure to see minutes in the summer, too.

Atlanta appears to have one of the strongest Summer League rosters. Asa Newell, the team’s first-round pick in 2025, will get a long look. Kingston Flemings, the team’s first-round pick from the University of Houston, is expected to make his debut. St. John’s star Zuby Ejiofor and UNC big man Henri Veesaar also were selected in the 2026 NBA Draft, as the Hawks hope to hit a home run with its rookie class.

RayJ Dennis and Keshon Gilbert are a pair of players on two-way contracts looking to improve their standing with the Hawks, too. Eli Ndiaye and Jacob Toppin are making their way back from season-ending injuries, trying to carve out a role.

We’ll back the Jazz due to the hometown element, as well as the fact that they have Bailey and Peterson, a pair of top-5 picks, working together. And with plenty of top-tier talent on both sides, let’s go high on the total.

Picks: Jazz -2.5 (-110) & Over 178.5 Points (-112)
