Despite only two days left in the 2026 WNBA regular season, much still needs to be decided going into the playoffs. There are two games scheduled this evening. Which means we have to be particularly selective in our decision-making. Here are some of our favorite WNBA picks for Wednesday, September 23rd.

Atlanta Dream at New York Liberty
The Dream and Liberty faced each other on Monday in Brooklyn. A strong third quarter for Atlanta proved to be the deciding factor in a contest the Liberty could ill afford to lose.
New York is still locked into the playoffs. However, that loss put them in a fight for the last seed instead of possibly finishing sixth or better. As of now, the Liberty will face the Minnesota Lynx - after claiming the No. 1 seed last night - following a loss to Golden State.
The Atlanta Dream can choose to rest their starting five if they feel so inclined. The Dream can't really move in the standings whether they win or lose. Their fate is sealed, and Atlanta will play the Fever as either the fourth or fifth seed.
New York could climb to seventh in the standings with a win tonight. We expect them to play at full strength as they try to improve their playoff seeding in their last regular-season home game.
Pick: Liberty Moneyline (-124)

If Atlanta rests its players or has them play less than usual, there's no way the Dream will reach its projected team total of 88+ points. The Dream scored 95 points in Brooklyn on Monday and has been piling up points lately. The number makes complete sense. Yet, it’s priced as if Atlanta won’t limit any of their players in a game they need to finish in full health rather than win.
If Atlanta elects to rest their main players to keep them fresh for the playoffs, it will be very difficult for the team to score 88+ points. The Liberty still have to win to improve their playoff seeding and could place serious emphasis on limiting Atlanta’s scoring. Especially if it's the players that normally come off the bench for the Dream.
Pick: Dream Team Total Under 88+ Points (-122)
Atlanta Dream at New York Liberty
This may be the best bet of the night. The Liberty are still fighting for playoff seeding, and they will rely on their top offensive option to secure the win tonight. Breanna Stewart has scored 20+ points in five out of her last seven games - including three consecutive contests.
Stewart is averaging 23 points in two games against Atlanta this season. The Liberty center scored 27 points in the loss to the Dream on Monday. It's not difficult to envision Stewart putting in some extra effort tonight to ensure the Liberty come away with the win.
Pick: Breanna Stewart 20+ Points (-128)
Dallas Wings at Seattle Storm
There's something unsettling about the lines for this game. There are no team totals, and many of the props are still not available as of this morning. This would suggest the possibility of hijinks in the works, as Dallas could be looking to rest some players tonight. Seattle doesn't have anything to play for beyond their last home game. It wouldn't make sense to hold back their totals.
If the Wings are going to either rest their starters for the full game or have them play a shorter stint than usual, it stands to reason that the Storm will be in contention in the later stages of the game.
Dallas is coming off a loss to a Phoenix team that is far removed from the playoffs. Seattle's size gives it an advantage over the Wings, even if Dallas’ starters do play. If they do not, the number will definitely slide. It might be best to get in front of impending news.
Pick: Storm +9.5 (-110)
Dallas Wings at Seattle Storm
The projected total suggests the starters for Dallas will play in some capacity. The 174-point total also suggests a very high pace, with each team averaging around 90 points. If Dallas plans on limiting their starting lineup at all, the 174 becomes incredibly inflated. Since returning from the break, the Wings have averaged 86.5 points and have not played in a game that has hit this total.
With lineup uncertainties, taking the under on a high number seems like the best course of action. If it drops to 165 or below, you know the stars will be out tonight. Be mindful if it starts to increase. A large jump means the stars are expected to play their full allotment of playing time. The Storm and Wings are combining for 160 points since the WNBA resumed play this week.
