Toronto Tempo vs. Golden State Valkyries
Cecilia Zandalasini has scored the first basket or taken the first shot in every Valkyries game since July 15. The last time she didn't take the first shot for Golden State, that day, she still scored second with a three pointer. She has scored first in three of her last five games and five in her last 10. She has seven First Baskets in 25 games (28.0%) this season, nearly twice as many as her nearest teammate, Gabby Williams (4).
On a team where the leading scorer tallies just 14.9 points per game, Zandalasini has been remarkably consistent of late when it comes to First Baskets. Her level of FB cashing still offering a nearly 5x return is crazy talk. She even scored first last time out against these same Tempo on Sunday.
On the Toronto side of things, Maria Conde has scored three First Baskets in 29 games this season (10.9%) but all three have come in the past four games. She is on fire cashing this prop and scored the First Basket in the Tempo’s last road game prior to this back-to-back set in San Francisco. A potential 10x return is bananas in pajamas.
