We have assembled a five-leg same-game parlay focused on the matchup between the Chicago Sky and the Phoenix Mercury. Phoenix enters this contest having won three consecutive contests. Chicago Sky at Phoenix Mercury

Leg #1: Phoenix Mercury Moneyline (-166)

As with most aspects of life, things change rapidly in the WNBA - and the Chicago Sky are a prime example. It was only one week ago that the Sky took it to the Portland Fire in back-to-back games, scoring over 100 points in each contest.

Fast forward to the prior weekend, and the solid footing seems to have already subsided. Skylar Diggins chose to air grievances via social media about a possible move to the bench. Actions of this variety have historically proven to be more of a hindrance than a driver towards success.

Phoenix started June winning two out of seven games. Having said that, the worm has turned in favor of Mercury as of late. Phoenix secured four wins over the last five games and will face a Chicago team that doesn't seem well suited to win a tough battle on the road.

Phoenix is shooting 47.5% from the field over the last five games and has knocked down at least 10 three-pointers in three of those games. Phoenix is holding opponents to a slim 75 points per game over their last three home games.

Leg #2: Valeriane Ayayi 10+ Points (-349)

Banking on Skylar Diggins to underperform and smashing the under on her props may very well be a much more popular avenue to consider this evening. However, if you go beyond the surface level of narrative-based logic, you may be able to identify what could prove to be one of the sharpest plays this evening.

Valeriane Ayayi is making the most of a recent surge in playing time for the Phoenix Mercury. If not for using this piece as an additional means to create a small sense of safety, we would be pushing this total more towards 15+ points.

Admittedly, oddsmakers have applied immediate pressure on the scoring line for Ayayi. Despite the hasty maneuvering, if we drop the total to 10+ points, our chances for success become far more pronounced.

Ayayi scored 18+ points in four of the last five games - including a 20-point performance on 6-of-27 shooting against the Toronto Tempo. The rookie forward/center is currently experiencing a massive uptick in minutes, usage and shot attempts. Ayayi was averaging just over eight minutes per game in the first 10 games. That average has skyrocketed to 24.5 in the last five games.

Leg #3: Kahleah Copper 15+ Points (-414)

Our next selection may be heavily juiced, yet Kahleah Copper has been one of the league’s best players over the last week and a half. Chicago is highly susceptible to opponents running up the score, and if that is the case tonight, we absolutely want the most talented scorer on the floor.

The Mercury guard is averaging 28.3 points over the last three games, while shooting a blistering 61% from the field. Copper scored 25+ points in three consecutive contests and has scored at least 20 points in six out of the last seven games. The veteran guard has not scored fewer than 15 points in seven straight games.

Leg#4: Kamilla Cardoso 20+ Points + Rebounds + Assists (-541)

We continue with another option for a player who continues to deliver quality scoring and rebounding totals. Kamilla Cardoso has taken the reins as Chicago’s most reliable offensive weapon, and Phoenix isn't exactly flush with rim protection. Tonight's contest looks to be a fantastic environment for Cardoso to flourish against an undersized Mercury team.

The Sky center has reached a combined 20+ points + rebounds + assists in three out of the last four contests. Cardoso is averaging 14.5 points over the last five games - including 24 against the Las Vegas Aces. The young center complements the solid scoring numbers with very respectable averages on the boards and in the assists department.

Cardoso pulls down an average of six boards per game and dishes out 2.3 assists per game. She has grabbed 10+ rebounds in two of the last six games and contributed at least four assists in three out of the last five contests. Cardoso is being utilized in 26% of the Chicago offense over that span - compared to a season average of 21.8%.

Leg #5: Azura Stevens Under 1.5 Made Three-Pointers (-233)

Our last leg of the parlay does come with some risk, given this contest could turn into an absolute shootout. Our logic for this under is heavily influenced by a less-than-favorable road shooting streak. Taking the under on three-point baskets for Azura Stevens has paid off tremendously this season, and we will return to that well once again.

The Sky forward has played in six road games this season and has yet to sink at least two buckets from beyond the arc in any game. Stevens is a dreadful 3-of-19 from deep when Phoenix is traveling. The veteran forward failed to connect on two three-pointers over the last 10 games.

Stevens attempts 3.5 shots from beyond the perimeter each contest, while making only 22% of those shots. This season has been quite awful for the UConn alum from a three-point shooting standpoint. Things only get worse when playing away from Chicago. The odds should tell you all you need to know about how the sportsbooks feel.
