Saturday’s Best College Football Anytime TD Scorers (Week 9)

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Oregon State Beavers at Fresno State Bulldogs

Oregon State quarterback Braden Atkinson leads the nation with 2,604 yards and 24 touchdowns. His No. 1 wide receiver, Jesse Legree, leads the nation in receiving touchdowns with 14, so I'm surprised his anytime touchdown odds aren't shorter than -175.

If Fresno State had a lockdown defense, it would make more sense, but it doesn't. They rank No. 99 in total yards and No. 76 in passing yards allowed (213.6 per game). Legree has scored in every game this season and has scored multiple times in four straight games. The Bulldogs are unlikely to shut him out, and at +330, two or more touchdowns is a solid value play.

Picks: Jesse Legree Anytime Touchdown Scorer (-175)/2+ Touchdowns (+330)

No. 7 UCLA Bruins vs. Nevada Wolf Pack

Wayne Knight is one of the nation’s leading ball-carriers, and he'll face Nevada’s 101st-ranked run defense. The Bruins will undoubtedly lean on the run game Saturday against the Wolf Pack. Knight has at least one touchdown in every game this season. Six of his 13 touchdowns have come in the first half.

Knight’s anytime touchdown odds have no value (-400), but with six in the first half so far this season, I'd absolutely take him to score in the first half.

Pick: Wayne Knight First-Half Anytime Touchdown Scorer (-155)

Auburn Tigers at No. 12 Ole Miss Rebels

Auburn has been tough to beat this season, and quarterback Byrum Brown has much to do with it. The Tigers have leaned more on their run game since SEC play began. Brown passed for 271 yards and three touchdowns versus Florida but has since failed to pass for more than 200 yards in four straight games.

Brown has, however, recorded a touchdown in six out of seven games this season and in all five SEC games. With Ole Miss struggling on defense this season, I like Auburn to get the run game on track early and for Brown to score in the first half. Three of his six rushing touchdowns have come in the first half. Against a weak Ole Miss run defense, I like his chances to make it four in this game.

Pick: Byrum Brown Anytime Touchdown Scorer (-155)/Byrum Brown First-Half Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+160)
