Friday’s Best NBA Picks & Predictions
(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)
Toronto Raptors at Milwaukee Bucks
The Raptors (4-4) are looking to bounce back after a disappointing 128-109 road loss to the Nuggets. Toronto has now lost three of its last four games and is struggling to build on a promising start to the season. The Raptors will try to get back on track against one of the NBA’s worst teams.
Milwaukee (1-7) has lost seven of its first eight games, including four consecutive losses. However, the Bucks showed some fight in their last game, a 109-102 loss to the Celtics. They erased a 22-point deficit and briefly took the lead in the fourth quarter before falling short.
The biggest question for Toronto is Scottie Barnes, who is questionable with a groin injury. His potential absence would make it difficult to justify Toronto being favored by 6.5 points on the road. The Bucks have struggled defensively, but they can still keep games competitive.
I like getting 6.5 points with Milwaukee at home. The Bucks nearly pulled off a comeback against Boston, and Toronto hasn’t exactly been playing its best basketball lately. With Barnes’ status uncertain, I’ll take the home underdog to keep this one close.
Pick: Bucks +6.5 (-105)
San Antonio Spurs at Sacramento Kings
The Spurs (6-2) are one of the NBA’s hottest teams, having won six straight after opening the season with back-to-back losses. San Antonio comes off a thrilling 112-111 win over Dallas, with Victor Wembanyama dominating the Mavericks - 52 points, 24 rebounds and eight blocks.
Meanwhile, the Kings (1-7) have been one of the NBA’s worst teams, losing seven of their first eight games. Sacramento is coming off a 116-103 home loss to the Lakers and has struggled defensively, allowing 123.3 points per game. The Kings are also just 2-6 against the spread (ATS) this season.
These two teams met on October 27th, when San Antonio cruised to a 130-103 win. Wembanyama finished with 29 points and 10 rebounds, while Julian Champagnie added 26 points. The Spurs have now won four consecutive meetings against Sacramento, showing how difficult this matchup has become for the Kings.
Laying 15.5 points on the road is a big number, but I still like San Antonio to cover. The Spurs are playing their best basketball of the season, while Sacramento has struggled to stay competitive against quality opponents. Given how easily San Antonio handled the Kings in their previous meeting, I’ll back the Spurs to win comfortably again.
Pick: Spurs -15.5 (-110)
