NFL Survivor Pool Advice for Week 6: Odds, Picks & Predictions (2026)

NFL Survivor Pool Advice for Week 6: Odds, Picks & Predictions (2026)

In yet another week, the top Moneyline favorite on the board (Cowboys) lost outright. But last week’s NFL survivor pool advice got through on one of our safest picks (Bengals), and all of our risky plays (Texans, Lions, Ravens) won outright, even though the latter kicked off as field-goal underdogs.

This is a big week for divisional rivalries. While those are matchups that several survivor pool contestants choose to avoid, they provide some of the best value this week.

Read on for our best NFL survivor pool advice for Week 6.

Safest Picks

Los Angeles Rams, San Francisco 49ers, Indianapolis Colts

Los Angeles is on a short week after playing Buffalo on Monday night, but that may be the only negative thing to say about the Rams' chances this week.

The Rams are 3-2 and facing a Cardinals team that has lost 17 straight games against teams that entered with a winning record (the longest active streak in the NFL). And after being torched for another 45 points in a 45-21 home loss to the Lions, the Cardinals now have allowed 30+ points in four consecutive games for the first time since Weeks 4-8 in 2011.

Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels is 0-6-1 in his last seven starts and is coming off a dumbfounding last-second play that cost the team a chance to kick a game-winning field goal against the Giants. Meanwhile, San Francisco is 5-0 for the fifth time in the Super Bowl era.

San Francisco quarterback Brock Purdy is coming off his 50th career start and has done some historic things to this point. He has the highest all-time completion rate through 50 starts. He also has the second-highest yards per attempt and the second-highest passer rating all-time during that span.

The Colts head home to face a Titans team off to their first 0-5 start since 2009. Tennessee inspires little confidence in beating an AFC South opponent, as its 11-game divisional losing streak is the longest active losing streak in the NFL.

Indianapolis can be given a pass for its 34-22 loss to Pittsburgh, since it came the week after playing in London. It is also encouraging that the Colts only punted once in Week 5 (even though they still lost by double digits). Expect more of the drives that ended in five Spencer Shrader field goals to be converted to touchdowns against a leaky Titans defense.

Risky Popular Plays

Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills, Baltimore Ravens

Kansas City has scored 30+ points in three out of four games this season. But for all the positives one can say about a Chiefs team facing the 0-5 Chargers, who are amid the NFL's longest active losing streak, dating back to last season (eight games), Los Angeles did win both regular-season meetings last year. And of the seven straight Kansas City wins in this rivalry prior to that, six were decided by one possession, with four by three or fewer points.

The Bills are coming off a short week and are facing a dangerous Raiders team, albeit one coming off back-to-back losses. With Buffalo still facing the 0-5 Dolphins and 2-3 Jets four times this season, there is no need to use the Bills’ second consecutive road game on the West Coast.

Baltimore snapped a losing streak of 581 games by NFL teams combined that trailed by at least eight points in the final minute of a game. But while that win with its backup quarterback inspires confidence, there is no need to use the Ravens in survivor pools unless one was convinced that Lamar Jackson was back under center and 100% healthy. Moreover, the Browns are likely a poor special-teams snap-away against the Jets from coming into this game 4-1.

Contrarian Play to Beat a Large Pool

New England Patriots

For the second straight week, the Patriots make our contrarian play section as they're now 10-1 in their last 11 home games (including playoffs). New England is also 6-1 in division games under head coach Mike Vrabel, and it should overcome all of its injury concerns given Drake Maye's impressive early-season turnaround.

Over the first three weeks, Maye averaged 195 passing yards per game and had one touchdown and seven turnovers. But over the last two weeks, Maye has averaged 321.5 passing yards per game with eight total touchdowns and two turnovers.

Last week, Maye joined Steve Grogan as the only Patriots quarterbacks to throw four touchdown passes and run for another in a game, and New England's rejuvenated offense should be too much for New York to keep up with.
