Best Bets for Giants vs. Commanders
Jayden Daniels is 3-0 against the Giants, posting a 107.4 passer rating in those matchups (Next Gen Stats). So earlier in the week, I thought the Commanders were the right side to be on. We know the pass defense is horrible, but Jameis Winston never feels like a confident bet because of his hyper variance (especially against a blitz-heavy defense).
Per Next Gen Stats: The Commanders blitz on 46.4% of passing plays this season, trailing only the Vikings (70.5%), where Commanders defensive coordinator Daronte Jones coached from 2022-25. Winston has a 29.2% success rate against the blitz, the lowest among qualified passers. Winston has averaged 9.2 air yards per attempt when blitzed, the sixth-highest among qualified passers, but just 4.3 air yards per completion, the fourth-lowest among qualified passers. Winston has completed only two downfield passes (10+ air yards) when blitzed, tying Cam Ward for the fewest in the league.
This game feels much more like a stay-away spot for me, given the Commanders are also coming off an international game without a bye week. So far in 2026…those teams (Rams, 49ers, Ravens, Cowboys) are 4-0 S and 3-1 ATS.
21 NFL teams have played the week after an international game, with no bye.
Those teams are 12-9 straight up and 9-12 ATS.
Last season, four teams played the week after an international game.
Those teams went 1-3 straight up and 0-4 ATS.

A divisional game with a tight spread…gross. If I had to pick, I’d take NY with the points and hope the Winston variance works in my favor. You also win if the Giants lose by only a FG.
Still, I very much prefer the props.
Najee Harris has been the No. 2 RB for the Giants the last two weeks, but there have been some coach-speak rumblings about potentially getting Devin Singletary more involved this week after being a healthy scratch Weeks 2-3. Harris lost a fumble last week, so it’s possible he sees a major workload reduction (zero touches last week after he turned the ball over). Besides, the matchup is tougher on the ground for all Giants RBs: 5th-fewest rushing yards allowed per game to opposing RBs (73.5). 3 of the last 4 RBs to face the Commanders have finished UNDER their rushing attempts prop.
Erickson’s Picks
- Najee Harris UNDER 32.5 rushing+receiving yards
- Najee Harris UNDER 7.5 carries
Best NFL Same Game Parlay for Giants vs. Commanders
Here is our top NFL same game parlay for Giants vs. Commanders. And you can view all of our Week 5 NFL same game parlays.
- Leg 1: Jacory Croskey-Merritt Over 13.5 Rushing Attempts (-103)
- Leg 2: Jayden Daniels Under 29.5 Passing Attempts (-105)
- Leg 3: Isaiah Likely 40+ Receiving Yards (-136)
Jayden Daniels returns for Washington this week. While that may be good news for Commanders fans, don't expect much rushing or passing work for the banged-up quarterback. This game will likely be rainy and windy, which should lead to a run-focused game plan from Washington - especially with Daniels coming off his elbow injury.
Take the under on Daniels' passing attempts and grab the over on Jacory Croskey-Merritt's rushing attempts. The latter could see an expanded workload with the Commanders leaning on the run. Croskey-Merritt had only nine carries last week, but Washington was also trailing for most of the day. He saw 19 attempts the prior game and 16 in Week 1 against Philadelphia.
As for Daniels, his return from injury and the expected weather conditions could certainly limit how much he throws this week. Plus, the Giants have been strong against the pass. They're allowing only 205.3 passing yards per game, which should force Washington to the ground game as well. Conversely, New York is allowing 4.7 yards per carry, the eighth-highest mark in the league.
Meanwhile, Isaiah Likely gets a favorable matchup for New York. The Commanders are allowing the eighth-most receiving yards per game to tight ends this year. Though the weather downgrades the Giants' passing too, Likely could be a solid option for quick completions. He just had 66 yards on seven receptions and 12 targets last week.

What is an NFL player prop bet?
An NFL player prop bet is a type of wager where you’re betting on the performance of a specific player in a game rather than the overall outcome. For example, you might place a bet on how many passing yards a quarterback will throw for, or how many touchdowns a running back will score. It’s a fun way to get more invested in the action, especially if you’re confident in how a particular player will perform, regardless of who wins or loses the game. It’s like focusing on one slice of the pie instead of the whole thing.
