Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl Same-Game Parlay: Arizona State vs. Duke

Leg 1: Duke Blue Devils -3 (-118)

Under normal circumstances, this would be a really fun matchup between two programs on the rise. However, that won’t be the case thanks to the transfer portal and opt-outs decimating the Arizona State (8-4) roster.

On the offensive side of the ball, the Sun Devils are already without starting quarterback Sam Leavitt (foot injury), and three key skilled players in wide receiver Jordyn Tyson (711 yards, eight touchdowns), tight end Chamon Metayer (375 yards, four touchdowns) and running back Raleek Brown (1,141 rushing yards, six total touchdowns). It's going to be a skeleton crew for Arizona State, and I just don't know where they're going to replace the production that these stars provide.

This Duke team is a bit underrated. When reflecting upon their schedule, all five losses came against teams that received votes in the final AP Top 25 College Football Poll this season. Pro Football Focus (PFF) has the Blue Devils 31st in their power rankings. They produced an 8-5 record and an ACC Championship while navigating the 42nd-toughest schedule. Duke caught fire down the stretch, winning its final three games and averaging 36 points per game during the sample size. I'll lay the three points with the Blue Devils in this one.

Leg 2: Race to 10 Points: Duke (-153)

Duke's end-of-the-year offensive onslaught wasn't an anomaly. This group was elite throughout 2025, ranking 19th in scoring (34 points per game), 15th in passing yards per game (282.2) and 31st in yards per play (6.2).

Quarterback Darian Mensah and this high-octane spread offense will be taking on a depleted Sun Devils secondary that'll be without its most notable cornerback in Keith Abney II (declared for the NFL Draft). Duke's in great form offensively, and they should lay it on Arizona State early and often.

Leg 3: Over 48.5 Points (-110)

I'll add the over as my final leg for this Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl parlay. Duke has cashed the over in 10 of its last 14 games, as well as going over in four of its last six outings. They should find the scoring offensively to carry their weight, and even though Arizona State will be short-handed, offensive guru Kenny Dillingham should be able to scheme his depth players into some points.

The Sun Devils draw a matchup against a Blue Devils defense that was easily its Achilles heel in 2025. They ranked 90th in defensive scoring (28.7 points allowed per game), 131st in passing yards allowed per contest (268.9) and 117th in yards allowed per play (6.1). With a month to prepare, Dillingham and veteran quarterback Jeff Sims should hit the 20-point threshold and help get the final score over the number.

Parlay Odds: +300

Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic Same-Game Parlay: No. 10 Miami vs. No. 2 Ohio State

Leg 1: Ohio State Buckeyes -9.5 (-110)

This opening game of the College Football Playoff (CFP) quarter-finals is going to be electric. I think Miami has the horses in the trenches to hold up well against Ohio State. However, I believe there's a wide enough gap in the skilled positions where we could see the Buckeyes pull away as the game continues.

For starters, Ohio State has the dynamic receiving duo of Jeremiah Smith (1,086 yards, 12 touchdowns) and Carnell Tate (838 yards, nine touchdowns), which I believe gives them the advantage in big plays.

They also have the better quarterback in Julian Sayin (78.4% completition rate, 31:6 touchdown-to-interception ratio) compared to Miami's Carson Beck (74.5% completition rate, 26:10 touchdown-to-interception ratio).

Ohio State dominated its opposition this season, going 12-1 straight up (SU) while posting the third-best average margin of victory (+26.8) against FBS-level teams. Aside from the season-opening 14-7 victory over Texas, all 11 of their other victories came by at least 18 points.

Leg 2: Jeremiah Smith Anytime Touchdown Scorer (-160)

If the Buckeyes are going to stretch out a double-digit lead in the Cotton Bowl Classic, they're going to need Jeremiah Smith to have an impact on the game. The top-rated receiver led the Buckeyes in receptions (80), receiving yards (1,086) and touchdowns (12) this year. Smith has scored in eight of his last 11 games. I'll back him to get in the end zone on Wednesday night.

Leg 3: First-Quarter Under 7.5 Points (-115)

This should be a defensive slugfest, and I'm thinking we ultimately land in the 27-13 range in favor of the Buckeyes. I do anticipate these defenses flexing their muscles early, and I'm going to play the first-quarter under of 7.5 points. Overall, this season, Ohio State ranked first in defensive scoring (8.2 points allowed per game), while Miami was fourth (13 points allowed per game).

In the first quarter specifically, the Buckeyes allowed only 1.2 points per quarter (first), while the Hurricanes conceded 2.3 points per quarter (sixth). We just saw both offenses get stifled in their most recent games, and I expect a slower, conservative approach against these elite defenses.

Parlay Odds: +490
