College Football Week 10 Picks: Best Early Bets (2026)

College Football Week 10 Picks: Best Early Bets (2026) - Devon Dampier

November marks the final month of the regular college football season. The stakes will continue to grow as we round out the final few weeks of conference play.

In Week 9, multiple upsets occurred, starting with No. 2 Ohio State falling flat against USC. No. 1 Miami avoided an upset in a 38-35 road win over North Carolina, while No. 4 Indiana drilled a 60-yard field goal to force overtime and avoid an upset against Minnesota in overtime. The bottom of the AP Top 25 also had several losses, including No. 24 Oklahoma State, No. 25 Wisconsin, and No. 20 Northwestern.

The dust has settled from Week 9. Week 10 is shaping up to be one of the best slates of the season, with 6 head-to-head matchups between current AP Top 25 opponents.

My College Football Week 9 Picks: Best Early Bets (2026) settled 1-2. We lost Northwestern +3.5 after a strong start, while Auburn got blown out by Ole Miss, failing to cover +13.5. Ohio State’s ineffective offense led to a win on Ohio State vs. USC Under 51.5.

Let’s get back to turning a profit by analyzing the latest line movement in some of the biggest Week 10 matchups. I’ve found a few high-value plays worth locking in at their current early pricing.

                                      BYU (7) vs. Utah (3)

The “Holy War” rivalry between BYU and Utah is setting up to be another big-time matchup this season. Devon Dampier and the undefeated Utes host BYU as a -5.5 point betting favorite at home during this huge Big 12 tilt in Salt Lake City.

Bear Bachmeier and the Cougars lost their previous road trip against unranked UCF in 2OT. Now, BYU will try to hand Utah its first loss of the season, which is going to be a tough task against the nation’s top-11 offense and top-15 scoring defense.

Dampier is the best player on this field. BYU struggled to beat unranked Arizona State at home in Week 9.

The line has moved from Utah -4.5 to -5.5. It could get up to -6.5 before kickoff. Let’s lock in the Utes at -5.5 for our first early best bet in Week 10.

                                      Pick: Utah -5.5 (-105)

                                      Alabama (9) vs. LSU (15)

Let’s head to the SEC for a classic rivalry game between Alabama and LSU. Lane Kiffin has dealt with some adversity during his first season in Baton Rouge, although the Tigers have won convincingly in back-to-back games against Mississippi State and Auburn.

Alabama has had a bye week to prepare for this pivotal game. The Crimson Tide lost to Georgia and Tennessee during a 2-game skid, before bouncing back with a 31-20 win over a struggling Texas A&M program in Week 8.

QB Keelon Russell goes head-to-head against LSU QB Sam Leavitt. This should be an explosive contest from both offenses, with LSU rostering a top-20 scoring defense to hold an edge at home over the Crimson Tide.

I’m willing to back Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer off a bye in a critical matchup against LSU. The Tigers have lost their 2 toughest games against Ole Miss and Kentucky.

Alabama getting +5.5 points feels like a gift. The Crimson Tide have burned me a couple of times this season, but I’d rather take the points with an offense averaging 38 points per game.

The spread has moved from -4.5 to -5.5 in the spread betting market in favor of LSU. I’m willing to fade the steam in this spot and back Alabama +5.5.

                                      Pick: Alabama +5.5 (-110)

Sharp money is the action professional bettors put down on a game. Here's what it means, how to spot it, and how to follow the sharps to better prices.

                                      Kentucky (8) vs. Tennessee (16)

Kentucky continues to be one of the most shockingly good programs amongst Power 4 conferences in 2026. The Wildcats, under first-year head coach Will Stein, are 7-1, with their lone loss coming against Alabama.

Kentucky has had multiple walk-off overtime wins against South Carolina and LSU, while also beating Oklahoma and Texas A&M on the road in conference play.

It’s going to be a big test on the road in Knoxville against Tennessee in Week 10. The Volunteers are 17th in points allowed per game (16.2) and are coming off a tough 27-24 road loss to South Carolina in Week 8.

Both teams in this game are coming off a bye. There is no rest advantage for either side, and Kentucky isn’t going to back down from a quality opponent like Tennessee.

The Wildcats rely on their run game to find the end zone, scoring 6 rushing touchdowns across their last 3 games. On defense, Kentucky is sound, holding Oklahoma and Vanderbilt to 30 combined points in its previous 2 contests.

Tennessee hasn’t thrown for a touchdown in 3 of its last 4 games. Now, oddsmakers are laying -6.5 with the Volunteers, moving from -6.0 to -6.5.

Kentucky has continued to be one of the best ATS teams in the country at 7-1. Tennessee is 4-4 ATS, so let’s back the team with a ton of confidence and momentum.

Bet on Kentucky +6.5 at -105 odds.

                                      Pick: Kentucky +6.5 (-105)
