New York Giants vs. Philadelphia Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles are having their worst season in a long time. Jalen Hurts likely won’t return. DeVonta Smith and Dontayvion Wicks didn’t play last week. While Saquon Barkley is back, he’s not a workhorse as he battles an injury, too.

The Eagles just lost to the Commanders on Sunday night and will face another divisional rival. This time, though, it’s the first-place New York Giants.

The Giants haven’t been perfect, either. They’re onto their third quarterback of the season. However, the Giants’ pass rush is probably why they’ll win. Philadelphia’s once-prestigious offensive line isn’t what it used to be. The Eagles also don’t have a super-mobile quarterback in Tanner McKee as Hurts’ replacement.

Plus, the Giants are coming off a bye, while the Eagles had to play a primetime road game on Sunday. New York is in a favorable spot and comes off a win.

Let’s back the Giants on the road at -3.

    Pick: Giants -3 (-105)

Houston Texans vs. Los Angeles Chargers

The Houston Texans are 2-5 this season. But the offense has improved throughout the season, and the defense still has a very good line. That should show up against an 0-7 Chargers team, offensively led by offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel, who still hasn’t been fired after an abysmal start.

McDaniel ruined Justin Herbert. In fact, he has ruined the entire team. The Chargers were a legitimate Super Bowl contender coming into the season. Now they’re the worst team in the NFL. This shouldn’t fall too much on Jim Harbaugh. He’s had success almost every season since he got there. It’s the coordinating. Via Pro Football Focus (PFF), the Chargers have a 42.4 pass grade this season. That doesn’t seem real with Herbert under center.

Anyway, look for the Texans to disrupt the running game and earn big plays against the pass. C.J. Stroud has totally outplayed Herbert this season and now has an extra weapon in Tank Dell, who has finally returned to game action.

    Give me the Texans -5.5.

    Pick: Texans -5.5 (-105)
