Host Matt Perrault recaps a winning Wednesday (2-1), where his NBA player props cashed but the Hard Rock Bet of the Day (Utah/Texas Tech Under) lost due to late-game free throws. He sets the stage for a “bridge” Thursday, focusing on the NFL Divisional Round Sunday games while holding off on Saturday’s game analysis (which was covered in the previous episode).

NFL Sunday Game 1: Texans vs. Patriots

Spread Strategy: He discusses his existing 11/1 futures ticket on the Patriots to win the Super Bowl. To hedge this position, he mandates a bet on the Texans (+3). He cites trends favoring the Patriots at home in January and Drake Maye’s perfect record as a favorite, but respects the Texans’ defense and DeMeco Ryans’ ability to rush the passer. He takes the points with the road underdog as a hedge.
Game Total: He highlights the defensive nature of both teams. Citing C.J. Stroud’s struggles in the Wild Card round (record-setting fumbles) and the absence of Nico Collins, combined with the Patriots’ efficient but not explosive offense, he expects a low-scoring grind. He takes a position on the Game Total Under.

NFL Sunday Game 2: Rams vs. Bears

Spread: He analyzes the weather forecast for Soldier Field, predicting historically cold temperatures and wind that will severely impact Matthew Stafford (who has never played in sub-zero/single-digit temps). He contrasts this with the Bears, who are built for these conditions. Citing a powerful trend where home underdogs of 4+ points in the playoffs are 9-0 straight up over the last 50 years, he fades the warm-weather Rams and takes a position on the Point Spread with the home underdog.
