Nearly two months of MLB action are in the books, and the New York Yankees tower above every other squad with 83 home runs. Of course, the Bronx bombers are not the only ones exhibiting a power stroke at the plate.
Here's a look at four pros worth backing to launch a ball beyond the fence in Thursday’s best MLB home run bets.

Kyle Schwarber (+240) & Alec Bohm (+600)
The Phillies have won six straight games, averaging 6.5 runs per contest during that stretch. A Thursday afternoon clash against the Rockies at hitter-friendly Coors Field presents another opportunity to go nuts on offense. Colorado’s German Marquez will take the mound, repping a disastrous 8.78 ERA and 1.83 WHIP in nine starts. The right-hander simply cannot miss bats, as he ranks outside the top 300 pitchers in whiff percentage (16.7%).
Everyone in Philadelphia’s lineup has a shot to crush a dinger in this battle. I’ll concentrate on two players who have already left the yard versus Marquez in their careers. Kyle Schwarber leads the Phillies with nine home runs and a dazzling 1.024 OPS on the road this season. Meanwhile, third baseman Alec Bohm is slashing an impressive .344/.397/.525 with three homers in his past 17 games. Lock them in with confidence.
Rafael Devers (+560)
Rafael Devers’ turnaround demonstrates the importance of not overthinking slow starts. The Boston slugger has put on an incredible display of strength in May, tallying five home runs and posting a team-high .676 slugging percentage. Overall, Devers ranks as a top-10 batter in both hard-hit percentage (58.3%) and average exit velocity (94.9 miles per hour) in 2025. He has been smashing the cover off the baseball.
Next up for Devers is a showdown with Baltimore’s Cade Povich. The young southpaw has surrendered eight homers across his previous six starts and conceded two blasts in his lone start at Fenway Park in September of 2024. Keep in mind that behind Povich is a group of Orioles relievers that has been tagged for the second-most jacks of any bullpen in the American League. This wager has a chance to cash up until the final out.
Matt Olson (+310)
Atlanta’s Matt Olson finds himself in a similar situation to Devers. The two-time All-Star is barreling baseballs at the ninth-highest rate in the league (18.6%) and enters Thursday with six home runs to his name in May. Washington pitchers will have to be careful facing Olson at Nationals Park. After all, it’s a venue where the Braves first baseman has recorded a .333/.391/.626 slash line with eight homers in 24 contests.
Asking Trevor Williams to limit Olson’s big swing is too much to ask. The 33-year-old hurler tosses a fastball with little run to it and has been taken deep in five of his last eight starts. Take note that left-handed hitters have torched Williams to the tune of a .383/.425/.589 slash line and 10 extra-base knocks through 107 at-bats. Trust Olson to take advantage of this matchup by staying patient before smashing a meatball left in the zone.
