Thursday’s Best MLB Home Run Props & Bets

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Junior Caminero (+310)

Mixing a stadium with favorable dimensions and a young pro that sports a top-35 hard hit rate (50.0%) is a recipe for success. That has been the case for Junior Caminero and George M. Steinbrenner Field this season. The Rays’ third baseman is slashing .316/.354/.603 with a team-high 18 home runs and 14 doubles across 62 home games. Keep in mind Caminero is also one of four players with 12 or more homers since the All-Star break.

Trusting consistent power is the way to go in this market, especially when a stellar matchup is attached to the wager. Sonny Gray will take the mound for the Cardinals on Thursday after conceding a whopping 25 earned runs and nine dingers in his last six starts. The veteran right-hander is allowing more barrels (9.7%) than ever before in his career. This is a spot where bettors can fade a struggling arm and support a hot bat at the same time.

Christian Yelich (+650)

The Brewers boast the best away record in the Majors at 37-28. Outfielder Christian Yelich has spearheaded the offense on the road, posting an impressive .301/.368/.506 slash line with 14 home runs and 50 RBI (62 contests). Much like Caminero, Yelich finds himself heating up at the right time. The former MVP has logged the sixth-highest OPS (1.027) among National League hitters during the month of August.

Shota Imanaga draws the nod for the Cubs in this series finale. The southpaw has been touched for a homer in six of his previous nine starts and has given up fly balls at a staggering rate this campaign (40.3%). That is a dangerous way to pitch when wind makes a daily impact at Wrigley Field. Yelich is 3-for-8 with a blast versus Imanaga and knows how to quiet a rowdy opposing crowd. Lock in this pick before the odds drop.

Maikel Garcia (+700)

There was a point when no one outside of Kansas City knew who Maikel Garcia was. A .300 batting average and an American League All-Star bid have made the 25-year-old infielder a household name in 2025. Take note that Garcia has excelled against left-handed pitching, leading the Royals with a .939 OPS and 12 extra-base knocks. There’s some undervalued pop in his game, too, thanks to a top-10 squared-up rate (37.4%) in the Majors.

Up next for Garcia is a showdown with Texas’ Patrick Corbin on Thursday. The lefty has registered a lackluster 5.17 ERA and 1.45 WHIP through 12 road starts. Take note that Corbin surrendered at least one home run in nine of those 12 outings. Kauffman Stadium can cause trouble for visiting hurlers as it rates sixth in Statcast’s offensive park factors since the beginning of 2023. Bank on Garcia going yard to electrify the home fans.
