Friday’s Best MLB Underdog Fantasy Player Predictions
Matt Wallner HIGHER 1.5 Total Bases
Matt Wallner is a handful for righties. According to FanGraphs, in 436 career plate appearances against righties, Wallner has hit 28 doubles, one triple and 26 homers with a .276 batting average, .575 slugging and .298 ISO.
The left-handed-hitting slugger is also in good form. In his last 99 plate appearances, he’s hit six doubles and six homers with a .235 batting average, .518 slugging and .282 ISO.
Wallner has a favorable matchup tonight. Julian Aguiar has allowed two doubles, four homers, a .256 batting average and .581 slugging to 46 lefties.
Trevor Larnach HIGHER 1.5 Total Bases (Scorcher 1.13x)
Trevor Larnach has the same tasty matchup as Wallner. Additionally, Larnach is in better form than his teammate. In Larnach’s previous 77 plate appearances, he’s hit six doubles and four homers with a .279 batting average, .544 slugging, and .265 ISO.
Larnach doesn’t boast the same degree or track record of success against righties as Wallner. Nevertheless, he’s having a career year with the platoon advantage. In 334 plate appearances against righties this season, Larnach has hit 15 doubles and 15 homers with a .258 batting average, .461 slugging and .203 ISO.

Dansby Swanson HIGHER 9.5 Fantasy Points
Dansby Swanson is an above-average hitter against lefties. In 435 plate appearances against southpaws since 2022, Swanson has hit 17 homers with a .354 OBP, .194 ISO and 130 wRC+.
Swanson has also been cooking with gasoline. In his last 25 games and 102 plate appearances, he’s hit five homers and stolen seven bases with 25 runs, 17 RBIs, a .333 OBP, .222 ISO and 126 wRC+.
Swanson’s matchup and the park factors at Coors Field are also ideal. Austin Gomber has yielded a .343 wOBA to 488 righties this season. He’s also ceded a .370 wOBA to 596 batters faced in Colorado since last year. Finally, according to FantasyPros, Coors Field has park factors of 1.351 for runs, 1.160 for singles, 1.295 for doubles, 1.816 for triples and 1.220 for homers.
Seiya Suzuki HIGHER 10.5 Fantasy Points
Seiya Suzuki has the same mouthwatering matchup and park factors as Swanson. The outfielder is also nearly Swanson’s equal against lefties. In 406 plate appearances against southpaws since 2022, he’s hit 10 homers with a .369 OBP, .174 ISO and 128 wRC+.
Suzuki has also been hotter than Swanson. In Suzuki’s last 25 games and 116 plate appearances, he’s hit four homers and stolen four bases with 18 runs, 11 RBIs, a .405 OBP, .212 ISO and 158 wRC+. Finally, Suzuki’s “higher” selection correlates with Swanson’s.
